The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Tessa Gains J.T. Knowledge – Coverup Crew’s Freedom In Danger

The infamous coverup crew is dependent upon secrecy on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But Tessa’s (Cait Fairbanks) sudden knowledge of J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) death now puts Sharon (Sharon Case), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), and Vickie (Amelia Heinle) in far greater danger of being exposed than they had been before.

Sure, J.T. is buried under tons of cement in Chancellor Park. Unless there’s an earthquake, the illegal grave he was dumped in isn’t likely to ever be unearthed. However, the authorities could be led to his body if any one person divulges information about what really happened.

The four principles to the crimes that didn’t need to happen have remained silent for reasons of self-preservation, via their group-think agreement. It’s obviously best at this point that no one ever say anything about what took place last spring in the controversial storyline that was presented.

Sharon, Nikki, Phyllis, and Vickie are in this together, whether they like it, or not. While some are natural allies in this quartet, like Nikki and Vickie, who are mother and daughter, Sharon and Phyllis’ forced friendship hasn’t yet served to weaken any link.

However, Tessa’s placement in the cottage purposely put her in a direct information line. Now that she knows J.T. was erased, it’s become possible that she will inadvertently slip up.

Tessa won’t suffer any direct consequences if the truth is told. While she has no current reason to report what was learned, she could mistakenly allow this dramatic knowledge to escape. For instance, one public conversation with Mariah (Camryn Grimes), anywhere, would be all that’s needed for the wrong person to become enlightened.

Soapy circumstances could allow Fairbanks’ character to be placed in a situation where Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), or Paul (Doug Davidson) overhears what she knows. Tessa now expands a circle that was tight. Considering Mariah’s place in Vickie’s house on what was a fateful night, the information share makes sense and should push this plot forward to its next climax.
