The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Nikki’s Future Threatened – J.T. and Victor Issue Isn’t Dead

The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Nikki's Future Threatened – J.T. and Victor Issue Isn't DeadNikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is living in double-peril on ‘The Young and the Restless’. While ‘Niktor’ is okay, Victor (Eric Braeden) has a serious health problem that hasn’t yet been diagnosed and the unresolved J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) issue isn’t, uh, dead.

J.T. fought Victor in the spring because the ‘Moustache’ caught the latest romantic interest of Vickie’s (Amelia Heinle) that papa bear disapproved of at the Ranch. Vickie is a teenager, right? Oh, wait, she’s seemingly around 40. Hmm.

So Luckinbill, Braeden, and all involved behind-the-scenes Y&R players choreographed one of the great fight scenes in recent Genoa City history. At its conclusion, Victor fell backwards down the stairs, creating a truly remarkable, slow-motion image.

Victor’s subsequent thud onto the hardwood floor, J.T.’s choice to flee, and Jack’s (Peter Bergman) delay in calling for help somehow altered Braeden’s immortal character’s internal functions. It appears as though Victor’s motor functions remain affected by the fall.

Nate (Brooks Darnell) was wisely called by Neil (Kristoff St. John) from Boston. Darnell’s recast character will eventually make a diagnosis and begin a course of treatment.

While her husband attempts to reclaim his health, Nikki’s state of mind also continues to be disrupted by whoever is attacking Newman Enterprises using the apparent guise of J.T. Hellstrom. Reasonable minds can’t possibly believe that this dead man is alive.

The cover-up crew’s attempt to dig for an answer at Chancellor Park was thwarted, as a modern art piece was put in their way by the ever-erasable Jill (Jess Walton). Katherine’s (played by the late, infinitely great Jeanne Cooper) former combatant placed the aesthetically interesting choice there without Nikki’s approval, or knowledge. That development telegraphs Walton’s welcomed return to the cast and a wink at upcoming verbal retorts between Nikki and Jill that are about to play out.

With J.T.’s unauthorized grave now seemingly inaccessible, the lengthening of this arc continues. Such is Nikki’s double plight inside this soapy, summertime world. Her future could be threatened in one, or both instances, as daytime devotees will come to learn.
