The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Kyle Gains Leverage – Knowledge of Abbott Paternity Equals Power

Now that Kyle (Michael Mealor) knows he and his father aren’t Abbott’s, leverage has been gained on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But how will this grudge-holding young man handle the power he’s gained? And how soon will Victor come to know the secret?

Leverage is a term used in business. Some, like Kyle’s perceived mentor, Victor (Eric Braeden), also use said control within personal dealings. So it seems highly likely that Jack’s (Peter Bergman) son will use this opportunity to try and push his dad asunder again.

Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) recent idea to help Dina (Marla Adams) transfer the remaining assets in her memory bank to a digital stick seemed right, at first. Madame me-first Mergeron regaled her granddaughter and the hired help, Ashley (Eileen Davidson), with tales from her past. Dina’s thoughts weren’t enhanced or imagined as time proved.

During a recording session one of the great shockers in recent history was revealed when Dina said that Jack wasn’t John’s (Jerry Douglas) son! Ashley and Abby meandered a secret DNA test, using Jack and Traci’s (Beth Maitland) DNA samples, which confirmed Dina’s latest sordid truth.

Kyle was later stymied by his father’s quicker than expected return from prison. Unable to take Jabot public and serve as the man who would facilitate the family company’s transfer to Newman Enterprises via stock purchases, Kyle has instead been tasked as Jack’s gopher. That naturally irked the upstart non-Abbott offspring.

The instant the ‘Moustache’ learns the news, which could be milliseconds from when Kyle does, both conspirators will gain unmeasurable leverage on their so-called enemy. And what, exactly, has Jack done to deserve Kyle’s steaming wrath? As for Victor, yes, Jack did delay the 911 call, which didn’t help his health, or subsequent recovery efforts. But those goats have been butting heads for decades.

At this point in the storyline, it seems as though the last person to know that John isn’t Jack’s father will be Smilin’ Jack. Here’s hoping he comes to learn that shocker. Until then Mr. Whoever will remain blind to Kyle’s revenge plans.
