The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Hilary and Devon Advancing – Lily and Cane Wise to Back Off

Lily (Christel Khalil) and Cane (Daniel Goddard) will be wise to back off ‘Hevon’s’ business on ‘The Young and the Restless’, but they’ve decided not to. While it’s understandable that ‘Lane’ hasn’t and isn’t likely to get past their issues with Hilary (Mishael Morgan), they should focus on their own family and marriage. Doing otherwise could alienate them both from Devon (Bryton James).

Maybe leaving Newman Enterprises wasn’t such a good idea after all? Lily felt compelled to do so after Vickie (Amelia Heinle) treated her badly and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) was looking for a disruptor. So, after storming off Lily decided to start her own modeling agency.

Devon saw potential in his sister’s idea. Instead of allowing Lily to go it alone, he created a division for her within the Hamilton Winters Group. That put Lily and Hilary in direct proximity to each other. At that point, Devon knows that trouble was ahead.

Lily apparently believes that Devon isn’t capable of making personal decisions where Hilary is concerned. Mrs. Ashby is also mistakenly addressing emotional issues, like Devon wanting to have a baby with Hilary, in a logical fashion.

The intent is understood, as Lily believes he’ll permanently tie himself to Hilary through a child. A ‘Hevon’ reunion could result as well.

Based on history Devon will likely be pushed toward, not away from Hilary if Lily continues to dissuade her brother’s renewed link to her. ‘Lane’ will surely open another point of debate now that Cane told his wife he’s on board with helping her block the contractually negotiated baby plan.

If Lily can agree to raise Juliet’s (Laur Allen) son, why can’t Devon choose to have his own child with Hilary? He can and will, which ‘Lane’ should, or will realize before he or she is born sometime around the turn of the year.
