The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Devon’s Heartbreaking Scenes – Hilary Devastation Still Lingers

It hasn’t been that long since Hilary (Mishael Morgan) died on ‘The Young and the Restless’. For Devon (Bryton James) each day has felt like forever, which Jack (Peter Bergman) spotted at the Jabotique launch party.

A later scene that showed Devon crying alone in the former ‘Hevon’ condo was heartbreaking. Providing another daytime forum where James’ range was further evidenced, Y&R appears to be establishing the start of a transition for one of the show’s most endearing characters.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Devon’s Grief Bubbles Over

It only took one glance for Jack to recognize the depth of Devon’s infinite grief. Holding Hilary’s heart behind his own, Devon was chatting with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) within one long shot inside the Genoa City Athletic Club’s setting. Then, after Tognoni walked away, James’ eyes shifted to the ground. Devon’s mask fell off and sorrow was seen.

Friends don’t need to be told when they’re needed. They offer to help, as Jack did a short time later. Devon cast aside the open invitation to talk. But Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) longtime sponsor, as he is Jack’s, knew his gut instinct was right and will remain available.

Losing the love of one’s life isn’t something that passes. Putting aside Hilary was never going to happen. Jack will remain protective of Hilary’s soul mate, which is exactly what she knew her mentor would do.

Fans were asked to flashback to those wrenching hospital scenes where Morgan killed in numerous one-on-one goodbye moments with her cast mates. Yes, those promises are being kept now. Devon isn’t truly alone.

Hilary Is Missed On Young And The Restless

Y&R’s tender and unexpected Hilary revisit was smart. It took place in the midst of a wild soap party, the location where many ‘Hevon’ dramas also went down. It made sense that Devon would be missing his wife while part of a gathered crowd where she was missing, as will always be true on this earth.

Ana’s (Loren Lott) pending return will allow a sure-to-be treasured sibling reunion to happen, via the SORAS’d recast. Clearly, the other next step for Mr. Hamilton will be to move forward personally.

Fans naturally think that a new romance will eventually be had. While no one will ever supplant Hilary, she’ll surely always send good vibes from Heaven. That otherworldly push, along with Devon’s personal renewal should allow a new path to be taken soon.
