The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Billy’s Exit Enables New Jabot CEO’s

The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Billy's Exit Enables New Jabot CEO'sThe intervention Traci (Beth Maitland) planned on The Young and the Restless was compassionate. However, her efforts could result in something she didn’t intend, or wants. While writing is her trade, Traci could soon be Jabot’s next Chief Executive Officer.

Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) don’t have a longterm plan in mind where Traci is concerned. They are simply asking her to assume Billy’s (Jason Thompson) responsibilities for a brief period while arranging the particulars for a board of directors vote. That process would be aimed at changing the blood-Abbott clause, which would then allow someone else to assume control of the cosmetic company that John (Jerry Douglas) founded decades ago.

It’s a shame that Dina (Marla Adams) is afflicted with Alzheimer’s, as she would be a great choice to lead her one-time husband’s company. How poetic if, after the honest self-admonishment she previously offered regarding her many past personal mistakes, Dina were to be CEO of Jabot. But alas, that’s not meant to be.

The Young and the Restless spoilers show that Ashley fully believes that she’ll retake the reigns after Billy is ousted, or more preferably, resigns due to his gambling problems. Viewers and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) know that Billy’s addiction led him to embezzle a half-million dollars from the company in order to feed his compulsion. Resignation won’t be an option as soon as that’s known by Jabot’s key players.

Kyle has had it in his mind that he should be given a shot to run the company. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather and father would further a legacy. Mealor’s sharply played character thinks that he can somehow outmaneuver Ashley, which may prove true considering Davidson’s announced departure from the cast.

But there is another candidate. Despite whatever his bloodline, Jack (Peter Bergman) could run Jabot again if the clause he once developed and had placed into his assumed family company’s bylaws is changed.

Then again, this is Genoa City. So, maybe Traci will agree to a temporary run, then Ashley takes over, Kyle forces her out and, eventually, Jack returns to the fold. Yes, the soapy dominoes could fall just like that.
