The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Mariah Learns Dangerous Information – Explosive Phick News Revealed

The last thing Mariah (Camryn Grimes) needed in her life was more drama on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She’s already dealing with a confusing and potentially deadly situation that involves Tessa (Cait Fairbanks). Now, Mariah has just learned that Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) recently revived ‘Phick’.

Sharon (Sharon Case) has come such a long way since Mariah was paid by Victor (Eric Braeden) to play Cassie’s (also Camryn Grimes) ghost. That gaslight led to enlightenment, as the eventual reveal of Mariah as Cassie’s unknown twin was presented to Y&R’s hardcore fans. It felt like a make-good attempt (because it was) for having killed off Grimes’ beloved character in 2005. The effort was appreciated, as it allowed this consistently great actor to return to regular cast member status.

Y&R’s intent in choosing to write-out Cassie was to split one of its all-time power couples, ‘Shick’. So, Sharon and Nick were pushed in new directions for the many years that followed. A 2014 almost-wedding didn’t happen, as the Phyllis recast, in the form of Tognoni, arrived at the chapel and called out Sharon’s Summer (Hunter King) paternity intel withhold. So, that was that, until now.

Digitally skipping four falls, Sharon and Nick are set to be remarried next month. Now knowing what she does, should Mariah tell her mother?

The classic soapy question needs to be asked, but also begs another question? Would executive producer and head writer Mal Young, along with other back office decision-makers at Y&R, actually have teased a ‘Shick’ reunion only to call the whole thing off again?

For the moment, Mariah holds the wedding card. Surely fallout will happen if she tells Sharon about Nick’s indiscretion.

While Mariah is burdened by this dilemma, Nick is talking with Phyllis about telling Sharon the truth himself. Simultaneously, Sharon also wants to come clean to Nick about her involvement in J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) accidental death and the coverup crew’s existence.

Maybe Y&R will revisit another past plot device and have Cassie’s ghost reappear? But this time her conversation wouldn’t be with Sharon. No, it would be with Mariah.
