The Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday, August 8: Lily Fired from Hamilton-Winters – Billy’s Shocker – Victor’s Vicious Threat

The Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday, August 8: Lily Fired from Hamilton-Winters – Billy’s Shocker – Victor’s Vicious Threat“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday, August 8, tease that Lily (Christel Khalil) will face an uncertain future. At Crimson Lights, Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily fret about the punishment she’ll get. Sharon (Sharon Case) eventually comes over and praises Lily’s bravery. She also hears another pitch from Nick (Joshua Morrow), who’s really pushing this new house idea.

Sharon just doesn’t want to leave their home on the ranch, but Nick vows to keep trying. He speaks with Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) on Wednesday as well. Sadly, Nick has to pass on snatching up Fenmore’s. He reveals that he changed his mind and intends to concentrate on real estate.

Over with Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson), they worry about what Billy’s cooking up. After finding Phyllis and Lauren, Ash tries to buy some time. She suggests that Lauren shouldn’t do anything hasty, especially since positive changes are brewing. It sounds like Ashley hopes to muscle Billy out soon, but more snags are about to hit.

Summer (Hunter King) spots Kyle and Ashley handling the issue, so she calls Billy to blab. He responds by calling a meeting of his own. Once everybody steps in Billy’s office, he announces plans for 30 new boutiques. Ashley believes that’s way too many and wants to wiggle out of some leases. Lauren is also appalled since these boutiques will compete with Fenmore’s cosmetic counters.

Nevertheless, Billy is adamant that this is the best plan for the company. During a moment alone, Ashley tells Kyle that getting rid of Billy won’t be easy. Back with Lily, she drops by Hamilton-Winters to share big news. Lily informs Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Devon (Bryton James) that she made a full confession to Paul (Doug Davidson).

Neil’s horrified that Lily could spend 20 years behind bars over this. She turns her attention to Devon and asks how long it’ll take to earn his forgiveness. Devon remains cold and argues that his family’s gone forever. As things get tense, Neil intervenes and shifts the topic to business. He notes that GC Buzz succeeded because of Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) banter with Hilary (Mishael Morgan).

Devon acknowledges that a replacement cohost is a good idea. Lily wants to assist with the hunt, but Devon assumes she’s trying to score Hilary’s old spot. He chews her out and fires her from Hamilton-Winters completely.

Elsewhere, Victor’s (Eric Braeden) feeling glum about not being able to see Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen). Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) feels like Victor and Nick (Joshua Morrow) need to have an honest chat. Victor later finds his son and notes that he still loves him. However, Nick fires back about his father’s manipulation. He believes Victor took advantage of their bond and messed it up.

Victor turns serious and explains that he has major ammunition against Nick. He’s saving as an insurance policy, so Nick should probably be worried! Victor adds that he won’t forget how Nick turned him over to the feds. It looks like these stubborn Newmans aren’t making any progress.

Nikki tries another angle by popping in the cottage. She urges Sharon to help Nick make amends with Victor, but that plan doesn’t pan out. Sharon is understandably miffed about the harsh treatment she endured during the custody battle. She also likes that Nick is stepping out of Victor’s shadow and finding his own path.

Nikki’s MS flares up a bit, which leads to a discussion about J.T. (Thad Luckinbill). She confesses that she doesn’t regret smacking J.T. in the head, but she wishes she’d come clean right away. Nikki could’ve claimed self-defense and maybe the cover-up crew wouldn’t be facing so much stress.
