“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Tuesday, June 12, 2018, reveals that over at Sharon McAvoy’s (Sharon Case) place, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) rehearses what to say at the arbitration. Brittany Hodges (Lauren Woodland) coaches him. Sharon thanks her for coming and warns her how dirty Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) can be.
Victor and Nick’s Battle Gets Heated
At the arbitration, Victor Newman tells Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) he expects a victory. Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John), Sharon McAvoy, and Brittany Hodges arrive. Victor lets them know Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is not there due to an MS flare up.
The mediator begins but Sharon interrupts wanting Victor and Nick to reconsider. They both decline. Nick will not give any rights to Victor and Victor wants all or nothing. Brittany points out that Nick is the only father Christian has ever known and is happy in Nick’s care.
Michael shows the paternity results. Then Victor tells why he doesn’t want to lose Christian. Brittany cross-examines and brings up facts about Victor’s kids being raised by nannies. Then she accuses Victor of suing Nick because he refused to return to Newman Enterprises.
Nick brings up how Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) wanted him to raise Christian and that Adam did not want his son influenced by Victor. Then Michael cross-examines Nick and has him admit Victor has always supported him and has a great relationship with his other kids.
Later, Nick lashes out and is given a warning. They take a break. When it picks back up Michael calls a witness which is Sharon. Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) suddenly gets pulled over by the cops.
Kyle Tells Abby to Leave Newman
At the Dive Bar, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) chats with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and hopes she wearing Jabot’s product Birthday Suit. Kyle then suggest she leave Newman and come back to Jabot.
Abby says the timing is off and she wants to prove herself to her parents. Summer Newman (Hunter King) arrives. Abby makes a snarky remark towards Summer in which Kyle agrees with. Then points out neither of them need the drama.
Jack Looks For His True Father
In the dining room of the Athletic Club, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) fills in Neil Winters on the situation with his mom and says she can’t remember who his father is. Jack is ready to do some searching but Neil warns him some things are better left hidden.
Kyle shows up and tries to get Jack to return to Jabot. Jack promises to consider it. Back up at the Dive Bar, Arturo tells Summer about his speeding ticket, then has Abby join them. Summer then points out to Abby that she had no clue she and Arturo were involved and wants her to give him a second chance.
Kyle Believes He’s an Abbott
Abby will give him a few minutes. Back down in the dining room, Summer greets Jack. He tells her he accepted what Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) has with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and then reveals he is not an Abbott.
Summer tells Jack she learned a lot about herself while she was gone and suggests he do the same. Then Summer goes to Kyle to chat with him about not being an Abbott. Kyle tells her he is still an Abbott and he is still a somebody and leaves.
Back up at the Dive Bar, Arturo fills Abby in on his sudden bad luck and she thinks her father is to blame. Close by, Kyle wants to know if Jack has an answer for him, but Jack does not think he will be happy starting up his own company or being back at Jabot. And that’s a wrap.
