The Young and the Restless RECAP Monday, August 15: Summer Taunts Phyllis About Cheating

“The Young and the Restless” recap for Monday, August 15, 2018 reveals that over at Crimson Lights, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) confronts Phyllis Summers for siding with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) over Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman).

Michael Is NOT Happy

Michael is angry because Billy’s idea will affect Fenmore’s. He reveals that Lauren wants out of her contract with Jabot. Phyllis says that she will reassure Lauren and that she has not forgot they are friends. Then talk turns to Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil).

Michael does not think Lily deserves to go to prison and wishes Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) would see that. Michael then asks Phyllis if she thinks Hilary Curtis’ would want her death to leave this legacy.

Sharon And Nick Plan Wedding

At the Dive Bar, Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) are waiting to meet their wedding coordinator.

Summer Newman (Hunter King) watches as they kiss. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) brings up her dad cheating on Sharon with her mom. Summer’s mind is blown over her parents hooking up and says Phyllis and Billy Abbott will be done for good.

Nick And Victor’s Battle Heats Up

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) spots Sharon and Nick. Victor taunts Nick. Then Victor and Nick bicker. Nick excuses himself. He and Sharon come over to Kyle and Summer. Summer talks about how well they are getting along with her mother.

After, Kyle asks Summer if she is going to blow up her dad’s life. He suggests she stop looking for unavailable guys and figure out what she wants. Across the way, Nick tells Victor he will not let business rule his life. Nick wants to leave his children a company they can be proud of. Victor leaves. Nick and Sharon start taste testing.

Nick’s phone starts ringing repeatedly so he leaves. Victor comes back over and talks about Nick to her. She tells him she knows what he is doing and it will not work. Victor denies having any ulterior motives. He then asks about his grandkids.

Things Are Looking Up For Lily

At Hamilton-Winters Group, Phyllis Summers finds Lily Ashby. Lily explains to Phyllis how her father stopped Devon Hamilton from firing her. Then adds that Devon is working from home because he hates her. Phyllis wanted Lily to pay for what she did, but now she has had time and realizes it’s more complicated.

Phyllis feels revenge causes more heartache. Phyllis does not want to put more hate out there and knows Lily is dealing with enough. She hugs Lily and leaves.

Michael Baldwin arrives. He let’s Lily know he will make his best case for leniency. Lily is ready to face what is ahead for her. Michael thinks her clean record and remorse will work in her favor.

Summer Taunts Phyllis Over Cheating

At Summer Newman’s apartment, She and Phyllis Summers chat. Phyllis fills Summer in on Billy Abbott working late and Lauren Fenmore Baldwin wanting to get out of her contract with Jabot. Summer accuses Phyllis of wanting to stab Billy in the back. They argue.

Phyllis tells Summer she is an irresponsible attention-seeking brat who humiliates herself by walking around half-naked. Summer laughs and points out it is how Phyllis used to be. Summer thinks Phyllis is really bothered by Billy keeping his plans from her. Phyllis insists they are fine.

Summer asks, “So why did you cheat on him, mom?” Phyllis says it’s nonsense. Summer points out she knows what she did, when she did it, and who she did it with! And that’s a wrap. Don’t forget to check often with Soap Opera Spy for all your soap needs.
