The Young and the Restless POLL: What Is the Worst Y&R Hook Up of 2017?

Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) continue to toy with time. There is no way these two will be able to sustain a relationship after the secrets they have been keeping from each other are exposed. Chelsea knows that baby Christian is not Nick’s son, but actually her deceased husband, Adam’s (then-Justin Hartley) son and Nick is hiding the fact that Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendricksen) was brought back to town by his father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Adam’s death was a direct result of that.

Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) didn’t take long to get over her marriage to Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton), when she hooked up with Scott Grainger (Daniel Hall), did she? Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) has warned her son to stay away from Sharon, who is 9 years older than him and has a disastrous track record when it comes to men. But given the current circumstances, one has to wonder, who is worse for who?

Y&R’s playboy Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is back together with his former sister-in-law, Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni); but there is no couple who plays bigger games with each other than these two. Phyllis has a huge jealous streak when it comes to Billy and his ex-wife, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Billy always lets his big brother, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) get the best of him when it comes to business, so Billy resorts to breaking into Phyllis’ emails to steal company information. Are they a match made in heaven or a match made in hell?

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Jack Abbot, did they really stand a chance? Nikki needed an escape from Victor and Jack provided that. They have been long time friends but it looks like Jack didn’t have a leg to stand on when it came to her connection to the “mustache”!

Ravi Shapur (Abhi Sinha) seemed to really care about Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) but she treated him more like a boy toy, than anything genuine. She dismissed him, and treated him like an object when it came to business, claiming him as her property when someone else showed an interest. It really was too bad because it would have been nice to see Ashley with someone who had never dated someone in her family and who loved and respected her the way Ravi did.

Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Scott Grainger can’t seem to stay away from each other, stealing kisses in the most public places. People say there is a fine line between love and hate, and it could be forgivable that they had sex when they thought they were going to die while being held captive in the storage locker; but now Scott is flat out cheating on Sharon. Is there a future for these two, or are they simply the worst couple in Genoa City?

Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) has probably been one of the most hated women in Genoa City, so when Jordan Wilde (Darnell Kirkwood), hooked up with her while having feelings for Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil), it was only a matter of time for their relationship to blow up; and BOY did it ever! Hilary exposed his con artist ways and he EXPOSED Hilary!!! They may have been the worst hook up of 2017 but karma definitely did a number on Hilary this year, no?

The Young and the Restless really toyed with Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) when they brought Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) into his life. They seem like a sweet couple, but something seems amiss. Tessa has already kissed his sister, Mariah and stolen a gun from his grandmother, Nikki; what else will she do before he opens his eyes to his not-so-innocent girlfriend is up to no good?

Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) were probably better off a friends. Although they were going well for a while, they ruined a great friendship by going to the next level; they never had chemistry and are in totally different phases of their life.
