Thanksgiving Pre-Emptions Revealed For Daytime Television Soaps

It might be hard to believe, but the holidays are just around the corner, which means some of your favorite daytime television shows might have a slight change in their schedules in the coming weeks. Here’s everything that you need to know.

Days Of Our Lives

Days of Our Lives on the NBC network has announced that the soap will not air on Thursday, November 22 and will be pre-empted on Friday, November 23 for the holiday weekend. The show is expected to return to its regular schedule the week beginning Monday, November 26th.

The Bold And The Beautiful

Over at CBS, The Bold and the Beautiful will not air on Thursday, November 22, as the network will be airing the Detroit Lions versus Chicago Bears NFL game instead. In addition, The Young and the Restless will not be airing a new episode on Thanksgiving, either.

The Young And The Restless

And while The Bold and the Beautiful will not air a new episode on Friday, November 23, we’ve got good news for The Young and the Restless fans: the network will air a new Thanksgiving episode of the soap following the CBS Sports Spectacular and NCAA Football Sec Games.

It’s also been noted that both The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless will return to their regular programming schedule the week of Monday, November 26th.

General Hospital

ABC will also be airing a re-run of General Hospital on Thanksgiving Day.  According to the network, they are digging in to the archives and will be showing a throwback episode from November 27, 2000!

And while it looks like fans won’t be getting new episodes of their favorite soaps on Thanksgiving, everything will return back to normal the following week. Enjoy your turkey, friends!
