Soap Opera Weekly Ratings September 10 to 14: GH On the Rise - B&B, Y&R and DOOL Take Massive Hits

Soap Opera ratings are available and reported by Soap Opera Network. There were no major interruptions this week that would have affected the ratings, so let’s see how all four of our beloved soap operas fared this week!

GENERAL HOSPITAL

ABC’s GH is the only daytime drama to gain in total viewership, gaining an impressive 92,000 in total viewers, with a total of 2,411,000. The ABC soap opera also rose by 12,000 among women viewers aged 18-49. Nelle (Chloe Lanier) continues to taunt Michael (Chad Duell) from behind bars which Carly (Laura Wright) is furious about it. Brad (Parry Chen) struggles with guilt as the Corinthos family deals with another crisis when Mike (Max Gail) blows up Charlie’s Pub with Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) and Jason (Steve Burton) barely escaping.

Robin (Kimberly McCullough) visits both Anna (Finola Hughes) and newfound brother, Peter (Wes Ramsey), just as a precarious moment forces Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Peter to spend some very close moments together! More and more people learn about Oscar’s (Garren Stitt) condition, and Kim (Tamara Braun) is very angry about it. Its an important week for Valentin (James Paatrick Stuart) as Curtis (Donnell Turner) shares information with him that could potentially save his failed marriage to Nina (Michelle Stafford).

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

CBS’ B&B fell slightly in total viewership losing 15,000, but keeping 3,285,000 in total viewers. The CBS soap opera gained 21,000 women viewers aged 18-49. This was the week Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) caused a massive commotion by choosing Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) line over Hope’s (Annika Noelle).

Xander (Adain Bradley) tries to prove his loyalty and commitment to Emma (Nia Sioux) as Zoe (Kiara Barnes) continues to reflect on her life with Xander – its clear the battle for Xander is NOT over! Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) places herself right in the middle of Bill (Don Diamont) and Katie’s (Heather Tom) custody battle, choosing to betray her sister; while Brooke’s husband Ridge is a super supporter of Katie and his brother, Thorne (Ingo Rademacher). Thorne proposes!

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

CBS’ Y&R dropped 43,000 viewers from the previous week but remains at the top with 4,023,000 in total viewership. The CBS daytime drama rose with 10,000 viewers among women between the ages of 18 and 49. Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) and Jack (Peter Bergman) learn they are not siblings, but she might have more insight on who his dad might be. Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) reveals who he is.

Summer (Hunter King) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) share a night of passion. Nick (Joshua Morrow) admits to impersonating JT (Thad Luckinbill). Devon (Bryton James) goes to see Lily (Christel Khalil) and they seem to make peace. Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) is attacked. Kyle meets Lola (Sasha Calle). Tension continues to cause destruction in the Abbot family, especially between Billy (Jason Thompson) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson).

DAYS OF OUR LIVES

NBC’s DOOL took the biggest hit this week, losing 78,000 viewers from the week before. It continues to be at the bottom with 2,084,000 total viewers. The NBC soap opera also lost 12,000 women viewers aged 18-49. Paul (Christopher Sean) learns he’s paralyzed, forcing Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny (Freddie Smith) to end things. Bonnie (Judi Evans) informs Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) they have a daughter and he deals with the revelation. Belle (Martha Madison) and her father, John (Drake Hogestyn) face off over Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) medical choice.

Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) continues to struggle on whether to tell Eric (Greg Vaughan) the truth about Nicole (Arianne Zucker). Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) share a special moment as he gives her a precious gift. Hope (Kristian Alfonso) can’t stand how close Rafe (Galen Gering) is to Sami (Alison Sweeney) and they continue to fight over her as he breaks the rules for her to say “goodbye” to her mother when Kayla pulls the plug on Marlena. Ben has dangerous accusations against Hope and many people question the validity!
