Coronation Street Spoilers: Tim Finds Shocking Evidence That Would Free SallyOn “Coronation Street,” Sally Metcalfe, (Sally Dynevor) who would be spending Christmas behind bars, could be released in the New Year, as her name will finally be cleared thanks to his husband, spoilers tease.

Sally (Sally Dynevor), the former mayor of Weatherfield, is jailed for four years due to wrongful convictions of fraud, money laundering, and bribery, which has led into a national outcry, will be freed from prison after Christmas. Per The Sun, Sally’s name will be cleared after her husband, Tim (Joe Duttine) digs deeper for the truth. Tim is hungry for justice for his wife and so he turns investigator during an upcoming storyline. With the investigation, he uncovers a shocking truth.

Tim finds out that conman Duncan Radfield (Nicholas Gleaves) is behind the £40,000 scam which is what sent Sally Metcalfe into prison. Sally was framed up by handing over the council’s money so that Duncan could send it to the Central America country.

Duncan’s wife, May, is also found to be alive and is secretly living in Costa Rica, a storyline that have taken inspiration from the real-life crimes of ‘canoe man’, John Darwin, who faked his own death in an accident in 2002 but had an eventual appearance in Panama with his wife, May. John Darwin admitted eight fraud charges with a nearly total of £250,000.

Apparently, Duncan wired the money to May, and Tim will be using this evidence to prove Sally’s innocence.

Elsewhere, Liz (Beverley Callard) and Mike meet up again. Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) has been monitoring Liz’s movement and saw her with Mike. She could not help but eavesdrop to what the two were talking about. Jenny initially thought that Liz was meeting with Johnny (Richard Hawley) in secret, and seeing her with Mike instead comes as a relief to Jenny. Will she finally leave Liz alone?
