The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Vickie’s Collapse Was Avoidable – Brash and Sassy in Billy’s Hands

The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Vickie's Collapse Was Avoidable - Brash and Sassy in Billy's HandsVickie’s (Amelia Heinle) collapse on ‘The Young and the Restless’ was rather dramatic and likely, avoidable. She’s been pushing herself too hard, which included the scheduling of a live interview on the ‘Hilary Hour’. Now Vickie’s health takes center stage.

If Brash and Sassy were a public company stockholders would surely be shaken by the idea of Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) guiding the ship while Vickie is unable to. His business track record is thin and he only has one other executive, Lily (Christel Khalil), working under him.

The head of this beauty company has endangered herself in recent months. Choosing to raise two young children and Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu), while also battling Jabot for survival proved to be too much. Billy’s presence in her household would likely have made a difference. But she spurned his offer to reunite awhile ago.

Vickie opted to push Billy away. Various hardcore viewers, even those who are ‘Villy’ fans understood her trepidation, as Billy has often let her down in the past. Plus there was the ‘Philly’ issue.

The lingering and heretofore undiagnosed symptoms that Vickie has been experiencing since she hit her head at the Top of the Tower created a growing problem. She didn’t ignore whatever the condition was and did seek medical input on a few occasions, but science is limited by human minds. Translation, no explanation or subsequent solution could be found and so Vickie persisted.

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) happened to be soapily in the proximity when Vickie ran her car off the road earlier in the week. She had her face smacked by an air bag and then refused to go to Genoa City Memorial, which proved to be serious mistake.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) stepped back from the bruising business world years ago. He turned away from the pace that Victor (Eric Braeden) wanted him to keep. But Vickie did the opposite. She’s always been more like her dad.

Believing in one’s invincibility is a very old-fashion notion. Some modern minds think otherwise and likely always will.

More than anything, Vickie needs a full diagnosis, treatment and rest. After healing, she also needs to be open to love, rather than just the empty blush of business.
