The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Hevon Reconsidered – Devon and Hilary Remain Attracted

Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary (Mishael Morgan) love each other on ‘The Young and the Restless’. That’s not the issue. Whether they’re able to reconcile issues that ended their marriage will help determine if ‘Hevon’ the sequel happens.

One of Y&R’s most passionate pairings actually ended their union amicably earlier this year. Hilary, much to Devon’s surprise, didn’t seek to fleece him through a settlement either. She only asked for and received GC Buzz, which may hint at ‘Hevon’s’ chance at revival.

Devon bought the website in order to help his then-wife channel her energies in positive directions. He believed that Hilary possessed the potential to become a legitimate journalist. Viewers have seen evidence that she wants to make that transformation, which could help convince Devon that she’s evolving her personal character.

Hilary has often suggested that she was willing to turn her media entity into a force for good, rather than continue using it as a smear machine. In recent months she’s also evidenced an ability to follow through on that promise, but hasn’t been consistent.

Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) was slammed live on the ‘Hilary Hour’ by Miss Curtis. She used unlawfully obtained personal materials from Mr. Wilde’s Genoa City Athletic Club suite to expose his backstory. That was done in order to retaliate against him for their relationship which ended badly. However, it appeared that Y&R was also using that sequence to write Kirkwood’s character out of the story, or at least to remove him for awhile.

Mariah (Camryn Grimes) is a good soul, which is one reason why she and Devon became more than friends. Grimes’ character opted out of a relationship with Devon, which left him a romantic free agent.

Considering various recent scenes where Devon and Hilary are getting along rather well and the Christmas season, it’s fair to believe that Y&R is considering a re-coupling. ‘Hevon’ Part II would surely be intriguing. Here’s hoping it happens soon. Redemption is always a good story to tell.
