Jack (Peter Bergman) believed that he’d made progress on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) also considered it a success to have convinced Dina (Marla Adams) to return to Genoa City without her trusted companion. But Graham’s (Max Shippee) cavalier attitude implied that he hasn’t been neutralized yet.
The Abbott siblings think that Dina’s sudden demeanor change represents the aftereffects of her mini-stroke. That seems plausible, but with this quirky character and her unpredictable sidekick nothing is certain.
Graham appeared to have made a foolish strategic move by taking Dina out of Wisconsin. Doing so, according to Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc), meant that Graham’s legal ability to make health-related decisions for Dina was negated. But wouldn’t his power be restored if he follows the trio back to GC? Plus, he’s still apparently listed as the heir to Dina’s fortune.

As has been the case to-date, Graham knows something that hasn’t been revealed. That’s why he oddly wished Jack good luck when they parted at the Florida hotel he’d checked Dina into last week.

The idea that a senior citizen would be taken out of a hospital, wheel-chaired to a plane in the Central Time Zone, land in the Eastern Time Zone and instantaneously become her old self is rather soapy. However, Y&R fans are willing to suspend disbelief in hopes that this storyline is being fast-tracked.
It seems possible that Graham’s ties to GC could be deeper than his link to Myrna (Maria Rodd). Whether he’s somehow genetically linked to another family, or has already emptied Dina’s bank accounts seems plausible. Yes, some follow-up plot point must be coming.

As the audience awaits reasonable answers, Jack and Ashley will have their hands full with Madame Mergeron. Her seeming inability to recall the drama that unfolded after the Brent Davis (Bert Kramer) revelation at the Top of the Tower party for Ashley remains troubling. Consequences for all involved are sure to follow. Hopefully they happen and are resolved before Thanksgiving arrives, rather than when the New Year’s Eve ball drops, or sometime thereafter.
