The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Crystal’s Return Bad for Zack – Paul Onboard with Sharon and Scott’s Plan

Scott (Daniel Hall) is in danger of being wrongfully imprisoned on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He and Sharon (Sharon Case) believe that Crystal (Morgan Obenreder) is key to bringing Zack (Ryan Ashton) down. Thankfully Paul (Doug Davidson) agrees that this ID could help stop the trafficking ring.

Paul didn’t initially believe Scott’s story. Many guilty people claim to be framed, but Hall’s character actually was. After receiving Victor’s (Eric Braeden) call, the Genoa City Police Department rushed over to the seedy motel where Scott had been dropped, along with Natalia’s (Tina Ivlev) cold body.

Zack set Scott up for murder. The head of Hashtag made a strategic mistake when he shared too much information with Ashton’s sinister alter ego. Y&R fans knew that a seasoned investigative reporter only did so in order to push this storyline toward its seeming fall climax.

As hardcore audience members recall, Zack initially made Crystal leave town because he thought it was too dangerous for the business if she remained in GC. Alice (Tamara Clatterbuck) facilitated Crystal’s return and rescue at the urging of Cassie’s ghost and Mariah (Camryn Grimes), along with Sharon.

It was smart to clue Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) in on the plan. Crystal is her sister, plus Miss Porter was aware of Zack’s previous activities in Chicago. That allowed Sharon to pass along good information to Paul, who will be investigating that lead further.

Sharon rightly believed that Crystal will be able to tag Zack as the leader of the ring. Paul is onboard with the plan to retrieve Crystal from the Witness Protection Program.

It’s time for Y&R to wrap up this arc. Zack’s has already been exposed to the audience and to various Y&R characters. It’s not feasible for him to fool Abby (Melissa Ordway) or others for much longer. The reprisal of Obenreder’s side character should lead to some type of dramatic conclusion where Zack is caught, surrenders after first resisting escapes or maybe even perishes.
