The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Kevin Nearly Blows Chloe’s Cover – Michael Says Goodbye to Brother

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Kevin Nearly Blows Chloe's Cover – Michael Says Goodbye to BrotherKevin (Greg Rikaart) should have never been seen in public on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He had one objective in returning to Genoa City. Drop Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) off at a hotel on the outskirts of town, get Bella (Gia Poeme) and take off. But Mr. Fisher didn’t follow that plan to the letter and that’s why Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) may have been tipped off to Chloe’s resurrection.

Maybe Kevin should be referred to as Mr. Chloe because he’s totally lost his senses, again. How many times has Kevin allowed his life to be wrecked by Miss Mitchell? And doing so this time could result in his soul mate being hauled off to prison.

It makes plot sense for Michael (Christian LeBlanc) to have asked Kevin to take a walk in Chancellor Park. He wanted some one-on-one time with his brother. It was an attempt to determine if anything beyond what was admitted was in play.

As an aside, viewers likely took notice that LeBlanc’s voice appeared to be dubbed over during Friday’s episode that aired in the United States. The longtime Y&R cast member may have had a laryngitis, or was speaking with a frog in this throat when this day’s scenes were digitally recorded. The obvious oddness of Michael’s voice quality put a very slight dent into the farewell scenes with Kevin.

As expected, Rikaart’s debut appearance was replayed this week. Savvy Y&R fans know that Rikaart already turned in his employee badge.

My how time passes, as it’s been fourteen years since a black-eyed Kevin first walked into Michael’s office. Great chemistry ensued between Rikaart and LeBlanc ever after.

Loose ends must be tied, regardless of how many residents Kevin and Chloe bid farewell to. Hopefully all is brought to a fitting resolution that also includes winks toward potential returns.

With however all plays out, it does seem like a fitting farewell is being presented, as hoped for by loyal fans of both excellent actors.
