The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Sharon Offers Nick Solid Advice – Paul Must Reopen Case

Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) gut instinct underscores that evidence of a crime was found on ‘The Young and the Restless’. His trip to the cottage was wise, as Sharon (Sharon Case) subsequently offered him good advice. Convincing Paul (Doug Davidson) won’t be easy, but he’ll need to reopen the case involving Adam’s (Justin Hartley) apparent accidental death if Nick can create doubt in the chief’s mind about past conclusions.

Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) darted Adam. Viewers witnessed that fact last September. The Genoa City Police Department recovered Adam’s DNA samples at the cabin explosion scene. That means it’s possible evidence of whatever drug Chloe shot into Adam could be matched to some of the items Nick found inside her duffel bag. However, that alone doesn’t prove murder.

Hardcore soap fans, as well as devotees of mysteries, know that foreshadowed clues matter. The storyline former head writer Chuck Pratt, Junior and his team generated last year did provide worthwhile bits of information. The DNA point was clearly invented to provide options in the future, which has arrived.

Nick’s meeting with Sharon might have seemed suspect at first, but their dialogue provided a memory refresher. Dylan (Steve Burton) initially worked with Nick when Adam was missing. Then, he worked with his dad on the investigation into Adam’s apparent death.

Viewers don’t know if Chloe wiped her fingerprints off the metal wrench before she threw it in the dumpster. But fans did see her touching that item in the bedroom of Kevin’s (Greg Rikaart) house in an earlier scene. Those physical points (the dart gun, related items and the wrench), combined with Nick’s knowledge of Chloe’s smartphone ping history on the day of the explosion provide circumstantial evidence.

Paul might have a hard time doing more than just questioning Chloe. An unexpected confession is unlikely, unless it’s somehow overheard. So Nick must keep pressing, as he tries to solve his brother’s seeming murder. As for the soon-to-be bride, she’ll need to recall all the lies she’s told and hope to escape justice indefinitely.
