‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, January 9: Jack Tempted by Gloria’s Offer, Ashley Warns She Can’t Be Trusted – Nikki Gives Victoria Advice

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for , tease that Gloria (Judith Chapman) will set up a meeting with Jack (Peter Bergman). At Jabot, Jack hangs up and gives Ashley (Eileen Davidson) updates. She’s aghast at the idea of Jack scheming with Gloria, but he feels like this could be the ticket to moving in on Fenmore’s.

At Brash and Sassy, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Billy (Jason Thompson) debate how to handle Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu). Billy thinks it’s OK to bend the rules, especially for this particular teen. He needs to know he has Victoria’s support. Victoria believes it’s best to set boundaries. She suggests that she doesn’t need Billy’s help.

At the athletic club, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) learns the secret has been spilled to Gloria. Lauren tells Phyllis about it and passes along the news of Jack’s offer. She points out that she turned it down. Lauren wants a marketing report to show a potential investor, but Phyllis needs to get a file from her old office first.

Meanwhile, Reed hugs Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) at Crimson Lights. They take a moment to catch up and Nikki indicates that she’s glad to have Reed in town. Nikki quickly heads over to Brash and Sassy. She gripes about Victoria keeping her out of the loop. Nikki heard about Reed’s arrival from Victor (Eric Braeden).

Victoria rants about Reed’s behavior and notes that he gave JT (Thad Luckinbill) a lot of trouble. Back at Jabot, Phyllis rummages in her former office. Since it now belongs to Ravi (Abhi Sinha), he comes in and seems puzzled. Phyllis explains and they introduce themselves.

When Ashley appears, Ravi makes a quick getaway. Ashley questions the true reason for Phyllis’ visit. They bicker about Fenmore’s before Phyllis stomps off. Ash is in a huff as she snatches Phyllis’ nameplate off the door.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers say Jack will be curious about the terms of Gloria’s deal. At The Underground, Jack wonders what’s in it for Gloria. She wants a small role at the company, but Jack is still suspicious. He asks why Gloria is doing all of this if the payoff isn’t very big. Gloria contends that Jack is truly the best investor. This is about helping Lauren.

At home, Lauren confesses that she hasn’t been honest with Michael (Christian LeBlanc). She admits that things are really bad at Fenmore’s. Michael is hurt that Lauren waited so long to tell him. Lauren was ashamed, but suggests they have a chance to repair the damage. Phyllis is pitching in.

Michael wants Lauren to remember that they’re a team. They talk it out and share a kiss. Later, Michael runs into Gloria and discovers that she knew before him. He thinks Lauren should’ve talked to her husband first. Gloria brushes it off and insists Lauren needs her family’s support right now.

Jack meets back up with Ashley and fills her in on his meeting. She’s still hesitant to trust Gloria. Back at Crimson Lights, Billy has coffee with Phyllis and compliments her new hair color. She wonders about his relationship with Victoria, but he stays tight-lipped.

Billy finds Reed on the patio and they talk briefly. Reed is bummed about Victoria’s view of how he should behave. Billy thinks Reed should give her a break. Having a teen around is a new thing for her.

Nikki goes to Victoria’s place and urges her to accept Billy’s help. Victoria insists that their relationship is over for good. Billy brings Reed home and wonders if they all want to play a board game after dinner. Everyone goes along with the idea.

It sounds like Billy is doing his best to ease the tension. Will his plan pan out? Y&R rumors hint that there will be a few more bumps in the road, but Victoria and Billy should be able to handle them. Stick with the CBS soap to see what’s in store.
