The Young and the Restless POLL: Chloe's Faked Death Storyline – Love It Or Hate It?

Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) is alive on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Kevin (Greg Rikaart) isn’t dreaming. His mind also hasn’t reverted to chipmunk mode because he believed that his soul mate’s demise actually occurred. So Y&R fans, is this storyline laughable or great?

Let’s pick some low-hanging fruit first. Viewers know that Chloe and Kevin have enjoyed some wild amusement park rides in the past. But the idea that Chloe’s death would be faked in this manner is laughable.

Dr. Harris (Ron Melendez) gave Chloe a drug that basically suspended her animation? That’s goofy, ridiculous, weird and nutty on a regular day in Genoa City.

But on the day Chloe’s hand pushed open the casket it’s a kooky burger topped with relish, eel, onions, mustard, pickles, a fried egg, ketchup, onion rings, one spray of DARE man scent, tofu, chilli powder, pink jelly beans and lettuce, all washed down with a Crimson Lights triple latte.

And the idea that Victor (Eric Braeden) would go to such lengths stretches one of those many black t-shirts he wears way out of shape. Why in the name of Gia Poeme (Bella) would the head of a worldwide corporation, that doesn’t seem to actually specialize in anything (wink, Hamazon), would the grayed ‘Moustache’ need to employ this “nuclear option”?

So, alternatively Chloe is caught tells everyone everything about Victor. Okay, so then he just wiggles his way out of it, while ‘Pikki Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) fronts that all is well in her marriage in order to preserve her post-Bayou life.

How is it that this Louisiana doctor came to possess some miracle drug that enabled this to happen? Shouldn’t Newman Enterprises be marketing whatever chemical cocktail Dr. Harris used as the greatest sleeping pill ever? Instead, it’s solely used to make Chloe look dead.

Now, let’s explore how this storyline twist could be classified as great. A massive stream of logical, or at least soapily acceptable reasons follows immediately after this sentence ends with a period.

Fans of ‘The Young and the Restless’ rightfully express their opinions on a regular basis. So, was Chloe’s faked death storyline laughable, or great? Vote in our poll below!
