The Bold and the Beautiful News: B&B Receives 23 Daytime Emmy Award NominationsThe Bold and the Beautiful cast and crew is probably celebrating as we speak.  The 2017 Daytime Emmy Award nominations were announced on CBS’ “The Talk.”  And, the CBS soap opera cleaned house.  Congrats to the cast and crew of Bold and the Beautiful, and their 23 Daytime Emmy nominations!

Outstanding Drama Series: Bradley P. Bell, Executive Producer; Edward Scott and Casey Kasprzyk, Supervising Producers; Cynthia J. Popp and Mark Pinciotti, Producers. This marks the 11th nomination for B&B in this category, with three previous wins in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Outstanding Drama Series Writing: Bradley P. Bell, Head Writer; Michael Minnis, Co-Head Writer; Rex M. Best, Shannon Bradley, Adam Dusevoir, Tracey Ann Kelly, Patrick Mulcahey, Mark Pinciotti, Jack F. Smith and Michele Val Jean, Writers. This marks the 13th nomination for Bradley P. Bell and the B&B writing team in this category with four previous wins in 2010, 2013, 2015, and 2016.

Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series: Heather Tom as “Katie Logan”. This marks Tom’s 17th nomination with five wins: two in the category of Outstanding Younger Actress in 1993 and 1999, one in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2011, and twice in the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in 2012 and 2013.

Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series: Scott Clifton as “Liam Spencer”. This is Clifton’s ninth nomination with two previous wins: in the category of Outstanding Younger Actor in 2011 and in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2013.

Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series: Anna Maria Horsford as “Vivienne Avant”. This marks Horsford’s second nomination, with one previous nomination in the category of Outstanding Guest Performer.

Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series: Reign Edwards as “Nicole Avant”. This marks Edwards’ second nomination.

Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series: Pierson Fodé as “Thomas Forrester”. This marks Fodé’s second nomination.

Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series: Anthony Turpel as “RJ Forrester”. This marks Turpel’s first nomination.

Outstanding Special Guest Performer in a Drama Series: Monica Horan as “Kieran Cannistra”. This marks Horan’s first nomination.

Outstanding Special Guest Performer in a Drama Series: Jim O’Heir as “Matt Cannistra”. This marks O’Heir’s first nomination.

Outstanding Drama Series Directing Team: Michael Stich, Cynthia J. Popp, Deveney Kelly and Jennifer Howard, Directors; Marc Beruti, Brian Connell, Clyde Kaplan, Anthony Pascarelli, Jennifer Scott Christenson, Catherine Sedwick, Steven A. Wacker, Associate Directors; Laura Yale, and Lisa Winther-Huston, Stage Managers; Robin Harvey and Erica Ginger, Production Associates. This marks the 12th nomination for B&B in this category, with three wins in 2011, 2013, and 2015.

Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design: Jack Forrestel, Production Designer; Fabrice Kenwood, Art Director; Joe Bevaqua, Richard Domabyl and Charlotte Garnell Scheide, Set Decorators. This marks the 19th nomination for B&B in this category with eight previous wins in 1991, 1992, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2013, 2014, and 2015. This marks Maddox’s fourth nomination with two previous wins in 2014 and 2015.

Outstanding Achievement in Hairstyling for a Drama Series: Michele L. Arvizo, Key Hairstylist; Cora Diggins, Romaine Markus-Myers, and Danielle Spencer, Hairstylists. This marks the 13th nomination for B&B in this category, with seven previous wins in 1996, 1998, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2014.

Outstanding Achievement in Makeup for a Drama Series: Christine Lai-Johnson, Key Makeup; Leilani Baker, Chris Escobosa, Joleen Rizzo, and Jennifer Wittman, Makeup. This marks the 17th nomination in this category with three previous wins in 1993, 2011, and 2014.
