Neighbours Spoilers: Coronation Street Hunk Ryan Thomas Reportedly Joining Cast

Neighbours Spoilers: Coronation Street Hunk Ryan Thomas Joining CastIt looks like Coronation Street’s loss is set to become Neighbours’ gain with the addition of heartthrob Ryan Thomas. Thomas played builder Jason Grimshaw on the ITV soap for 15 years before leaving in 2016, and now he’s set to join Channel Seven’s hit Aussie sudser.

According to The Mirror, Thomas will play Raphael, a mysterious new addition to Ramsay Street. When he left the cobbles Thomas stated he was looking for a new challenge, and it appears it didn’t take him long to find one!

At the moment Thomas is starring in Channel 4’s Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls. Unfortunately his debut was riddled with a host of irritants, namely a nest of angry bees that found the frequently shirtless hunk an irresistible target. Ouch!

The former Corrie star also had fans fearing he was the victim of a shark bite while in the water, but it turned out to be only a cramp.

Off screen his encounters have been much more fortuitous, having hooked up with Lucy Mecklenburgh from The Only Way is Essex, during filming of the reality show. The two beautiful singletons hit it off while on location in Panama and you can check out Thomas’ Instagram to see pictures of the two at an Italian wedding.

Well we know that 33-year old Thomas is going to fit right in to the sun-drenched, outdoorsy setting of Erinsborough, but when will he have time to film given his busy schedule?

At the moment details about his Neighbours debut are being kept close to the vest. We don’t yet know if his time on Ramsay Street will be short and sweet, or if the plan is for him to settle in for the long haul.

Either way, soap fans can expect a stellar performance from the leading man. During his stint on Corrie Thomas was a fan fave and no doubt will delight Aussie audiences as well.
