Hollyoaks Spoilers: New Details Surrounding Violent Tunnel Accident - Who Will Survive? When two Hollyoaks families suffer a violent tunnel collision in the New Year don’t count on everyone surviving the horrific crash. Will Hollyoaks lose one or more residents?

On the heels of its spectacular Christmas special, Hollyoaks already has a blockbuster plot in place!

January will see tragedy befall Tony (Nick Pickard) and Diane Hutchinson (Alex Fletcher) and Harry Thompson (Harry Glasspool) as well as the Maalik clan.

The drama kicks off as Dr. Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi) is driving through a tunnel with Farrah (Krupa Pattani), Sami (Rishi Nair), Yasmine (Haiesha Mistry), Imran (Ijaz Rana), and Kim Butterfield (Daisy Wood-Davis) as her passengers.

Coming the other way are Tony, Diane and Harry. Clues as to how the families’ violent collision occurs are being kept top secret, but in the aftermath of the accident lives will be forever changed.

Explosive show spoilers reveal that Misbah will be forced into a front burner storyline as the result of the disaster.

In what must be every parent’s nightmare, Misbah will be forced to choose between her children as they sit trapped in the crushed car with a truck hurtling toward them on a direct collision course.

I don’t know how Misbah will be able to function in such a horrific situation, but somehow she goes into mamma bear mode and does whatever she can to save her family.

But her spontaneous life or death decision will cause ripples of troubling consequences as the family moves forward in the New Year.

There’s no doubt that the upcoming scenes will be graphic and vivid as the show went to great time and expense to film the episode with attention to the tiniest, realistic detail.

Cast and crew from the Channel 4 soap spent a whole week filming the gritty scenes in Liverpool’s Queensway tunnel. The shoots were held at night, and the tunnel was specifically shut down to accommodate the filming.
