Emmerdale Spoilers: Dead James Barton Returns To Dales To Haunt Killer EmmaWhen killer Emma Barton (Gillian Kearney) murdered husband James on Emmerdale, she didn’t plan on his ghost sticking around. But that’s exactly what she’ll confront next week as Gabby (Rosie Bentham) cooks up a scheme to make Emma pay for her crime.

Emma has been on pins and needles recently with her deadly secret at risk of unraveling. Gabby is the latest person determined to reveal Emma’s crime, and she comes up with a whooper of a plan. Will her wicked scheme to gaslight Emma work?

First off Emma won’t know what to think when she finds a prayer card on her late hubby’s grave. Of course Gabby planted it there to freak out Emma, who later decides that it’s a sign from James.

The spooked woman later informs Pete Barton (Anthony Quinlan) and Ross Barton (Michael Parr) about her amazing find, but they can’t buy what Emma’s selling.

Instead, Ross finds Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) at the Woolpack and accuses her of planting the card. Of course she denies the ludicrous accusation, but the confrontation backfires on Ross when Emma takes her reaction as further proof that it really is James who is “communicating” with her. The only happy camper in this crazy scenario is Gabby, who delights in the fact that Emma is coming unhinged.

Flushed with her initial success the young woman decides to take her scheme even further, and she
enlists the help of her younger half-brother Arthur (Alfie Clarke). She tells the boy that she’s the one responsible for the left card and that she has more in store for Emma.
