Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Preview Teases Lucas Horton's Nightmare is Just Beginning“Days of Our Lives” spoilers reveal that Lucas Horton’s (Bryan Dattilo) big story is just starting to take shape. Things are about to get a lot more difficult and frightening in his life. NBC released the preview clip for the week of August 28 and Lucas is freaking out.

 

As previously reported by “Soap Opera Spy,” “Days of Our Lives” spoilers reveal Lucas will wake up next to Anjelica Deveraux’s (Morgan Fairchild) dead body. Thinking his savvy sex skills killed her, he will call Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) and ask for her help.

Of course, fans know that Lucas and Anjelica really didn’t sleep together. It was Bonnie Lockhart, who is impersonating Adrienne Kiriakis. After Anjelica dies from a heart attack, Hattie Adams (Deidre Hall) and Bonnie pose the she-villain next to Lucas, who is passed out drunk. Then, the two imposters flee the scene, leaving Lucas to pick up the pieces of his shattered life.

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers also tease that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) will be investigating. Since Anjelica died from a heart attack, there really is no crime that has been committed.

However, they might suspect something is going on considering Anjelica was an enemy of Adrienne’s. Since Lucas was found with the body, will he be a suspect? What makes it worse is that he can’t remember a thing from the night before. This includes knowing Adrienne was literally not herself (and sleeping with her anyway,) as well as Bonnie’s black binder on Adrienne’s life.

 Head writer Ron Carlivati previously teased a huge story for Lucas. He called it an “embarrassment of riches.” Fans had plenty of theories, but nobody could have expected this kind of storyline. In the preview clip, the narrator teases that Lucas Horton’s nightmare is only beginning.

How is Lucas going to get out of this mess? Even more important, will believing he slept with, and accidentally killed Anjelica have long-term consequences? Will it drive him to sobriety or push him even further down the road to relapse? Can Chloe help her ex-husband and when will the truth come about the evil doppelgangers?
