Coronation Street Spoilers: Shock Storylines Hit Corrie This Fall

It’ll be a September to remember for Coronation Street fans, according to soap exec Kieran Roberts. The enthusiastic boss is promising no less than, “an epic week of heartstopping drama, heartbreaking emotion and heartwarming comedy.”

According to Digital Spy, the producer of ITV’s wildly successful sudser is promising a monumental autumn for fans, including the move to six episodes a week starting on September 20.

What does this mean for the residents of Weatherfield? Corrie citizens will be treated to one bombshell wedding, while another wedding is endangered due to bad health, plus lots more surprises and unexpected soapy twists and turns!

First off, on the morning of their wedding Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward) will confess to Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) that he’s having an affair with Maria (Samia Longchambon). Expect this revelation to go over like a lead balloon, leading to lots of drama, not the least of which is a catfight in a fountain between the two ladies!

Meanwhile, Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) apparently solves the mystery of her secret stalker. Or does she?

Around the same time enigmatic newbie Colin (Jim Moir) will appear on the cobbles, bringing a new mystery, as well as intrigue, along with him.

And poor Bethany Platt’s (Lucy Fallon) troubles are far from over now that her tormentors are behind bars. Fans can expect a big-time spectacle to unfold as the sex ring participants are put on trial. Will long overdue justice be served up for the traumatized teen?

Maybe, maybe not! TPTB reveal that a deluded person sympathetic to the perpetrators will play a major role in trying to derail the proceedings.

Elsewhere in town, Pat Phelan’s (Connor McIntyre) hostage drama will continue to cause serious repercussions.

And poor Rita Sullivan’s (Barbara Knox) health will continue to deteriorate, necessitating a sad (and final?) trip to the hospital.
