Weekly Soap Ratings July 4-8: DOOL Ratings Rebound – Y&R And ‘B&B’ Ratings Drop Drastically – GH Ratings Up For Women 18-49

The soap opera ratings for the week of July 15- have been posted by Soap Opera Network and after several weeks of all-time lows ‘Days of Our Lives’ ratings have rebounded. Preemptions on Tuesday, July 12 caused a massive drop in ratings for both ‘The Young and the Restless’ and ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’. ‘General Hospital’ ratings for total viewers were down but the daytime drama gained viewers in the women 18-49 demographic.

Days of Our Lives

Total viewers for ‘DOOL’ the week of July 11-15 reached 2,092,000, and that represents a gain of 47,000 viewers. There was also a jump in the ratings for women 18-49 with 379,000 tuned in. That’s 4,000 viewers in that category over the previous week.

General Hospital

After three straight weeks of declining ratings across the board ‘General Hospital’ had an up-and-down week. Total viewers were down – 2,580,000 tuned in. That’s a loss of 7,000 in that category. However, women 18-49 came back with 456,000 watching the soap opera. That shows a gain of 15,000 viewers in that demographic.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Preemptions on Tuesday, July 12 caused a massive drop in ratings for ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ across the board. With 3,602,000 watching the week of July 11-15 ‘B&B’ lost 154,000 total viewers. In the women 18-49 demographic the soap opera lost 28,000 viewers with 509,000 tuning in.

The Young and the Restless

‘The Young and the Restless’ ratings also took a major hit due to the preemptions on Tuesday, July 12. With 4,431,000 total viewers watching the daytime drama lost 235,000 total viewers compared to the previous week. With women 18-49 ‘Y&R’ hit a new low – 574,000 were watching in this demographic. This represents a loss of 80,000 viewers for the week of July 11-15.
