‘The Young and The Restless’ Spoilers Tuesday July 5: Nikki Makes Ransom Call, Victor Escapes Goes After Ian – Billy Tells Jack His Marriage Is In Trouble

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Tuesday, July 5, tease that Ian (Ray Wise) will be amused by Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) arguing. At the cabin, Ian suggests he intends on using one of the women for ransom. Phyllis has doubts about that plan. Nikki uses her foot to pull a phone closer, but Ian catches her. He grabs it and insists Nikki is going to call Victor (Eric Braeden).

At the hospital, Victor gripes about his family’s betrayal. Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) listen to their father’s complaints. Victoria bickers with Victor about the whole situation. Meredith (Alicia Coppola) eavesdrops nearby and orders everyone out when Victor’s heart monitor goes crazy.
Once Victor calms down slightly, Meredith chats with him. She feels like she knows the real Victor. Meredith thinks she can see how much Victor loves his family. Suddenly, Victor gets a call from Nikki. She says she’s with Ian and Victor needs to do exactly what she says. Ian is demanding $5 million in exchange for her release, so Nikki reads off the bank account info.

Phyllis cries out and Ian shushes her. He snatches the phone from Nikki and tells Victor he’d better send the money. Meredith says Victor needs to notify the police and he disagrees. She wheels him down the hall for an MRI. A guard follows them.

Meanwhile, Dylan (Steve Burton) talks to Sharon (Sharon Case). She claims she panicked because she thought Dylan might have been involved in the shooting. Paul (Doug Davidson) appears and Dylan joins him to work on finding Nikki.

After chasing down a couple of worthless leads, Dylan gets frustrated. He’s desperate to track Nikki down and nothing is working. Paul gives Dylan a pep talk and some security footage eventually looks promising. They rush off to investigate the news.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers say Mariah (Camryn Grimes) will urge Kevin (Greg Rikaart) to keep his mouth shut about Sharon’s visions. In a hallway at the hospital, Mariah warns Kevin to stay-tight-lipped. In Sharon’s room, she doesn’t want Kevin around. He admits that he knows Sharon has been having hallucinations of Sage (Kelly Sullivan).

Later, Kevin and Mariah get Sharon settled in at home. Kevin still thinks Dylan needs to hear about the Sage visions. Sharon fears Kevin wants something to keep quiet. He assures Sharon that he’s just concerned about Mariah’s safety. Sharon agrees to take her meds.

At the athletic club, Billy (Jason Thompson) hints that Jack’s (Peter Bergman) marriage is headed downhill. Jack won’t accept that. He can’t lose Phyllis. When Victoria shows up, Jack pushes Billy to support her. They end up apologizing to each other for their recent behavior. Victoria starts to cry over everything that’s happened with Victor and Nikki. Billy pulls Victoria close and vows to be there for her.

Jack chats with a disheartened Nick nearby. He offers reassurance that Nikki will make it back home. Jack adds that Nick shouldn’t give up on the idea of reconnecting with Victor. After Victoria and Nick exit, Jack tells Billy that he’s going back to the cabin to check on Phyllis. Billy discourages Jack from doing it. Jack comments on Billy’s growing connection with Phyllis.

Back at the hospital, Victoria and Nick are denied entry when they want to see Victor again. As Meredith turns them away, the guard sees that Victor is gone. At the cabin, Ian leaves the room and Phyllis grows concerned. She thinks Victor could end up getting them killed. Nikki tries to wriggle out of her restraints, but Ian comes back before she can free herself.

Victor sneaks inside and Ian takes notice. They comment on their last showdown. Victor insists that Ian will die during this faceoff. Y&R rumors hint that some shocking moments are on the way. Stick with the CBS soap for updates on this exciting encounter.
