‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday July 22: Phyllis Ready to Blow at Appeal – Adam Refuses to Help Victor, Chelsea Blasts Dylan – Jack Concerned

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, July 22, tease that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will take a stand against Victor (Eric Braeden). At the athletic club, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) urges Phyllis to support Victor’s early release. She points out that Vic rescued them at the cabin.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) chime in with other reasons, but Phyllis isn’t interested in giving Victor a pass. She insists that Victor hasn’t paid for his actions. Jack (Peter Bergman) arrives and promises to back Phyllis up.

Phyllis wants to crucify Victor, but Jack thinks it’s best if she just steers clear of the courtroom. Meanwhile, Adam (Justin Hartley) meets with Victor in prison. He refuses to help Victor in any way. Victor is fine with that. He thinks Nikki, Victoria and Nick will get the job done.

Adam thinks Victor will cause trouble once he’s a free man. He suggests that Victor is simply using his relatives to his advantage. Victor reminds Adam that he won’t be getting out without his help. Vic states that Adam is part of his family.

Elsewhere, Abby (Melissa Ordway) talks to Stitch (Sean Carrigan) about the miscarriage. It was tough to work through it, but Abby wants to focus on the future now. She hopes they can have another baby at some point. Stitch says they can discuss it later. Abby needs to be in court soon.

At Crimson Lights, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) remains frustrated with Adam’s situation. Sharon (Sharon Case) is willing to pick up the slack at work. Chelsea asks Dylan (Steve Burton) about the missing journal entries. He says he’s working on it, but Chelsea rips into him anyway. She’s upset about the lack of progress.
After Chelsea storms off, Stitch and Abby walk in. Abby joins Sharon while Stitch has a chat with Dylan. Abby opens up to Sharon about Stitch’s lack of enthusiasm on the baby issue. Sharon thinks having another baby can help a family heal after a miscarriage.

Stitch speaks with Dylan about his own feelings. He admits he’s just not ready to try for another child. Dylan mentions how he lost Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois). He hints that Sharon and Sully helped bring him out of his sadness. Dylan believes Stitch should keep an open mind.

Stitch returns home and gazes at presents they were given for the baby. He recalls when they found out Abby was expecting. At Sharon and Dylan’s place, they discuss what Stitch and Abby are dealing with. Sharon remembers the pain of losing Cassie (Camryn Grimes). Dylan insists their worst days are behind them.

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers say Chelsea will be ready to testify against Victor. At the courthouse, Chelsea insists that Victor framed Adam. Nick, Nikki and Victoria argue with Chelsea about Victor’s guilt. Victor shows up and promises to do whatever he can to secure Adam’s freedom. Chelsea isn’t sure she believes Victor. She stomps off as Abby arrives.

Victor is hopeful that he’ll have a better outcome this time around. Once court is in session, the Newmans take the stand to speak on Victor’s behalf. Victoria, Nick and Abby all talk about the love they have for their father. Nikki confesses that she was drinking prior to her original testimony. She plays up Victor’s good qualities by mentioning his daring cabin rescue.

Victor also testifies about how much he loves his family. The judge asks if the victims have anything to say. Phyllis flings open the door and looks ready to blow. Back at the state pen, Chelsea stops by to see Adam. She fillls him in on her confrontation with Victor.

Adam thinks it was a little crazy to go after Victor like that, but he admires Chelsea’s bravery. Chelsea suggests that Connor should come by to see his daddy, but Adam doesn’t approve. Y&R rumors hint that Adam and Chelsea will face even more strife soon. Stick with the CBS soap for updates on the next round of bad news.
