‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Sharon Needs Compassion – Everyone Makes Mistakes

'The Young and the Restless' Spoilers: Sharon Needs Compassion – Everyone Makes MistakesSharon (Sharon Case) lied on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Her free will choice, which was sustained for months, has damaged many lives. However, every character in the cast and every person in the viewing audience who’s screaming at her the loudest should consider their own lives and the future before cementing their conclusions about Sharon in this instance.

Of course Sharon was wrong. Her decisions denied Sage (Kelly Sullivan) time with Christian (Jamie and Alister Tobias) before she was killed in a car accident that likely never would have happened. Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Summer (Hunter King) were allowed to grieve the death of a family member who was still alive. Dylan (Steve Burton) was made to believe that he had a son and a wife he could trust. Paul (Doug Davidson) thought he had a grandson. Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind), Noah (Robert Adamson) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) believed that their mom gave birth to a new sibling for them to love. And we haven’t even touched about the grandson switch that’s about to hit Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and to a much lesser extent Victor (Eric Braeden), soon.

Even Sharon’s most ardent confidant (which presently is Mariah) within her fictional life, or the hardest of hardcore Sharon fan, can’t offer a reasonable explanation that justifies her actions. No excuses, or diversionary tactics are able to be presented. Instead, a simple declarative statement comes next.

In life, or in this soapy world, everyone can be offered a chance at redemption. No, this theory of deliverance isn’t a right. Sharon’s not entitled to consideration. All who are aware, or who will become aware of her actions, behavior, thoughts and words have a choice to make of their own.

All connected Y&R characters deserve to react however they wish for as long as desired. They can also choose to abandon Sharon forever as well if they like. That type of decision should only be made if each and every person wants to be treated similarly in the future. But all the tomorrows that are yet to come remain fully uncertain. So, how would people know that they won’t be in a similar, or worse, position than Sharon is right now and then be in need of compassion?
