A series of satisfyingly dizzy ‘Philly’ reveal scenes are being shown on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Billy (Jason Thompson) were finally exposed and Jack (Peter Bergman) is understandably reeling. Now, as all of Genoa City continues to buzz about this awkward relationship, various lives are being bent, or broken. But, all scripted scenes were, as always, placed within Y&R’s appealing visual settings.
Summer (Hunter King) played a part in the reveal story. She began her odyssey by witnessing a swarm of gossip brokers question her mother and father in the Genoa City Athletic Club foyer. Savvy viewers know that King has already transitioned to recurring status on Y&R, due to her full-time upgrade on CBS’ night time comedy ‘Life In Pieces’. So, with the ‘Suca’ storyline now ended and Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) having been written out of the show, the ‘Philly’ reveal hit Summer extra hard. A nicely shot outdoor scene at Chancellor Park between Joshua Morrow (Nick) and King added a consoling touch to the otherwise tense events that took place elsewhere.

Jack confronted Jill (Jess Walton) at the Chancellor mansion. Bergman and Walton delivered an old-school exchange that was smartly placed in the now-restored classic setting. The visual feel of Katherine’s (Jeanne Cooper) home added undeniable flavor to the sharply spoken words. Cooper likely would have approved of Mal Young’s unique visual flair that continues to make a solid impression during his early tenure.
Billy invaded Vickie’s (Amelia Heinle) space at their former martial abode, which was initially built to honor the classic ‘Father Knows Best’ set. Travis (Michael Roark) stood guard over his love interest before feeling compelled to ask Billy to get out. Later, at Brash and Sassy’s home office, the misfit trio of corporate leaders (Billy, Vickie and Cane, Daniel Goddard) was lectured by her highness, Jill.

Jack was later shown meeting with Neil (Kristoff St. John) inside the GC AC executive office before he sought solace at his family home. Neil pulled no punches with the man he sponsors, which subsequently prepared Jack to see his wife sitting on the steps inside 603 Glenwood Drive. Phyllis began to explain herself, but her husband told her to get out of his home, company and life. ‘Phack’s’ public breakup seems destined to result in divorce.
