'The Young And The Restless' News: Justin Hartley Filming New NBC Primetime TV Show Pilot In NYC‘The Young And The Restless‘ star Justin Hartley has been in New York City this week filming an upcoming primetime pilot.  News hit the internet months ago that Hartley was joining the cast of a new NBC primetime dramedy – but details were scarce.  According to Backstage, the new TV show still doesn’t have a title and is simply being referred to as “The Untitled Dan Fogelman Project.”

Here’s what we know about the new TV pilot so far, it’s being produced by 20th Century FOX and is scheduled to air on NBC.  Justin Hartley’s co-stars include, Alan Thicke, Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Justin Hartley, Sterling Brown, Chrissy Metz, Susan Kelechi Watson, and Ron Cephas Jones.  The show is set to follow the lives of 8 characters – who share one thing in common, they all have the same birthday.

Not too much information has been released on Justin Hartley’s character – but we do know that Alan Thicke will be playing the part of Justin’s on-screen Dad.  Thicke shared a photo of himself with Hartley on Twitter this week and captioned it, “My latest TV son, @Hartleyjustin Fun on Fox! #boyswillbeboys @FOXTV#justinhartley.”

So far there is no indication that ‘The Young And The Restless’ fans should be concerned about Hartley leaving the cast of the CBS soap opera.  As of right now, the new TV show doesn’t even have a name – there is a slight chance that the network could pull the plug on it still, like what happened with Billy Miller’s primetime TV show ‘Urban Cowboy.’
