‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Griffin Confirmed As Duke’s Son – Anna Stunned – Who Is Duke’s Baby Mama?

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers confirm that Dr Griffin Munro [Matt Cohen] is definitely the son of Duke Lavery [Ian Buchanan]. Anna Devane [Finola Hughes] will soon learn the truth but next we want to know who Griffin’s mother is. It’s definitely (and thankfully) not Anna…
A man turning up with a previously unknown kid is believable, but when a woman finds out she had a kid she didn’t know about, it’s always hinky. The good news is that GH writers are NOT rewriting Anna’s child-bearing history to give her a new kid.
Anna noticed from the first time she saw the handsome doc that he looked familiar – and she was right. Griffin took the job in Port Charles in part to get to know Anna. Obviously he knows about her history with his dad Duke, but there are so many questions to be explored.

First and foremost – who is Griffin’s mother? Based on the doc’s age, Griffin would have been born before Duke ever came to Port Charles back in the late 80s. So that means his mother could be literally anyone from anywhere.
Second, is Griffin’s mother alive or dead? Is the reason that Griffin came looking for Anna is because his mom passed away? Is she the person that Griffin was talking about when he and Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] discussed losing someone they cared about to HIV/AIDS?
Is Griffin alone in the world like Anna is? Well these two comfort each other? Will Anna open her home to Griffin? Anna really needs this since she’s been feeling lost since Robin Scorpio [Kimberly McCullough] and her crew moved to California.
Anna needs someone new in her life – a family member – not a romantic interest since she’s still healing from Duke’s death. And while Griffin is only quasi-family, as the son of the love of her life, she’ll no doubt be thrilled to get to know him.

Griffin likely has a lot of questions about his father including how he died. Will Anna expose her vendetta against Julian Jerome [William deVry] and tell Griffin how the reformed mob boss ordered his dad’s death and that Carlos Rivera [Jeffrey Vincent Parise] shot him down?
We have to wonder how well Griffin knew Duke and how much time he spent with his dad – if any at all… Did Griffin’s mom keep his existence secret from Duke because of his mob ties? Did Griffin come searching for Anna for answers since he never knew his father?
Looks like all of this will come out soon enough and it’s a great turn by GH writers to bring in a new character to the canvas who has such a strong tie to a legacy character. We can’t wait to see where this goes and how Griffin and Anna’s relationship will develop and deepen.

What new born baby did Anna lose? She miscarried a child of Duke’s, but she was so early on, she wasnt even showing. I think Griffin will be good for Anna without rewriting GH history.

i have seen that quite a few times on american soaps…..
a miss-carried baby turns up very much alive..
including erica cane’s aborted baby….
so if they want to make griff anna’s in the end, that’s just what they’ll do

i agree…without duke, it’s really not doable…
and, i also remember this story on days
nancy didnt’ tell the love of her life that she had a daughter, because her (it wasn’t said, but i believe this) stupid father knew she was pregnant, and didnt’ like craig, so he arranged for a friend to rape her…..so she gave the baby up for adoption…no it’s not the same as a mis-carried baby…but she never believed that craig was the father, until chloe was a teenager…and all that…so
it makes more sense for anna to be the baby mama, what, with no duke….why would the baby mama be someone else…..is that woman going to then come to town and try to take the grown baby away from anna, and all that…..without duke…..there would be no conflict in that part

I know that was so stupid, I couldn’t believe that was the explanation. Yeah there’s no conflict without Duke & I really really don’t want him coming back never liked hm, I loved Robert & Anna but I wouldn’t mind her having a son especially since Robin is gone but even is she were here, it wouldn’t be a bad thing for her to have a sibling.
i always thought that they concked out and made lucas julian’s son…..he could have always been robert’s…..cheryl did sleep with them at the same time…so
she would have had a brother in him…and all that…

well I think the better route for this would be that she didn’t ever know about him, he was stolen by Faison or someone else. If the history was researched they could come up with a very interesting plausible storyline.

Actually you’re wrong. Duke wasn’t in town until the summer of ’86. He came with his father and other mobsters. Duke wasn’t with her before that. Anna didn’t arrive until ’85. She was with Robert long before those two meet. Anna had his baby. She had Robin thirty eight years ago. Griffin is about that age. He doesn’t belong to Anna. Thank Goodness.

has to be Olivia Jerome, she was played by can’t remember her name but she played one of Asa’s wives on OLTL. I swear she could be Ava’s sister, I wonder if they would be. Just looked it up so yeah she’s her half sister, the actress’ name was Tonya Walker. I guess that would kinda be interesting.
yeah this is seriously stupid, he could be Robin’s twin that Anna didn’t know about cause they kidnapped him from birth, I really thought that was where they were going with this. Why should he be anyone else’s child?

Yeah I know & with him being dead now, I really think they should leave it alone but I have read, not sure here or where but they have confirmed that he will tell Anna this week that Duke is his father so I guess we’ll find out, LOL!
