‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sam and Jason New Year’s Kiss Interrupted by Frantic Liz – Little Jake in Crisis

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that the hoped-for New Year’s kiss between Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco] and Jason Morgan [Billy Miller] will go bust. That’s right – the lip lock that looked like it was just about to happen will fall flat right before they brush their lips together in a kiss.

That’s so frustrating not only for JaSam fans, but also for Sam who has been waiting desperately for her husband to remember who she is so they can reignite their marriage. Their New Year’s Eve interaction at the Floating Rib certainly seemed like it was headed in a good direction.

Sam and Jason drank, flirted and played pool. Best of all, there was no Liz Webber [Rebecca Herbst] around to complicate things and distract Jason. But trust Liz to find a way to wedge herself in between them even if she’s not physically present.

Just as the ball drops and the countdown to New Years is about to hit midnight – the kissing hour – Sam and Jason leaned in and it looked so good, so close. But then, Jason’s phone will ring. Bam. It’s like Liz had some sort of sixth sense that Sam was getting close to Jason.

It’s nothing so devious – just a terrible coincidence. GH spoilers indicate that Liz calls because of a major ruckus at her house. There are sirens going off and flashing lights – and Liz is desperate for Jason to come to her house to help deal with the emergency.

Is it something little Jake Spencer [James Nigbor] did? Or did Liz’s little firebug Cameron Spencer [Michael Leone] start a blaze? You can’t let that kid near anything flammable or watch out… Did Jake do something intentional to create an emergency so his dad would have to come home?

GH spoilers indicate that Jake will do anything to get his dad back in their lives and that Jake may target Sam in some inappropriate (and possibly dangerous) way in order to get his dad away from her. Is this New Year’s Eve incident the first salvo in a Jake vs Sam war?

And will Sam suspect Liz of being the one to try and sabotage her warming relationship with Jason because it will never dawn on her that a child is capable of that level of deviousness? It’s agreed that most children would NOT be, but this was a kid raised, in part, by Helena Cassadine [Constance Towers].

Are we finally going to see Jake’s true colors? Will what was done to him by the evil matriarch be revealed in his schemes against Sam? And could Jake’s plan work? Could he reunite his parents not so much by his actions but by Liz and Jason having to co-parent to sort out his issues?

We’ll find out more in coming days but, for now, what we know is that Sam and Jason won’t get their kiss – or if they do, it will be just a brush of the lips before the frantic call from Liz interrupts the long-awaited moment.
