‘General Hospital’ News: Performer Of The Week – Roger Howarth

'General Hospital' News: Performer Of The Week - Roger HowarthWith so many great moments this week, it’s hard to land on just one but after much thought and consideration, I have to pick Roger Howarth.

Poor Franco! All those messy emotions and feelings rattling around inside his tumourless brain! What’s a former psychotic to do?! On top of his newfound sense of empathy for the present and future of Jake, he’s having to deal with Nina’s desire to have a child with him! They been having sex, for what? 10 minutes?… and Nina’s only interest in his zhhunk (that’s “junk” with a soft “j” since Nina can’t seem to make the hard “j” sound) at the moment, is its ability to impregnate her. With Scotty pointing out Franco’s past and Franco himself very much aware of his “colorful” history, it’s been an amusing ride this week.

With all of the renovations to his character over the past year or more, it’s easy to forget that Franco was once the village lunatic. Now he’s deep into an adult relationship that didn’t begin in a stalking/kidnapping kind of way, playing parent to Kiki Zhherome, holding down a responsible job in a place where most of his former victims either work or hang out at, and he’s making a POSITIVE difference. No one seems more surprised by this new Franco than Franco himself!

A shout-out to Laura Wright for that moment with Liz. There is so much Carly could have said in those moments but she took the high road and went “concerned mother to mother” with it. Laura pulled it off perfectly! It felt genuine. Kudos!

One more to Bryan Craig. Poor Morgan. More than anything he wants to be a mobster, just like dear old dad. Instead he’s bi-polar, just like dear old dad. Morgan hates the meds. They soften his rough edges. Now they’re softening… other things. That’s apparently the one thing that he cannot sacrifice. To hell with mental illness! meds in the trash The south will rise again!

Craig played it so well!

I’m going to end this with a gripe. Sam, Sam, Sam…

I tried to feel bad for her when she rolled down the stairs. I tried to feel bad for her when it became apparent that she was going to spend a whole week facing perilous injuries and imminent danger, but I just couldn’t. It’s my opinion that if she hasn’t learned by now that teetering around on those ridiculously high spiked heels is the reason why she keeps tripping/falling all over the place, I say leave her in the basement until she actually connects the dots!

Until next week!
