‘General Hospital’ News: Kathleen Gati Exclusively Dishes On New Projects, ‘Fear The Walking Dead,’ And Popping Up In Port Charles

Kathleen Gati portrays the recurring role of Dr. Liesl Obrecht on ‘General Hospital,’ but she is certainly busy outside of the soap opera world too. Dr. Obrecht is the chief of staff at General Hospital; she oversees all the operations of the staff and patients. While the character may be temporarily absent from the canvas the actress is keeping herself busy. I spoke with Kathleen this week in regards to her career and she divulged to me some of the projects she is working on.

First Kathleen made mention of an audiobook that recently finished recording called The Lilac Girls, she stated that it was written by Martha Hall Kelly and would be released very soon. Viewers who previously saw Kathleen in AMC’s web series “Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462” can gear up to see her in another set of eight mini episodes which started airing online on Sunday February 14. Unlike her role as a doctor on ‘General Hospital’ she plays a flight attendant in ‘Fear the Walking Dead’.

Kathleen made mention that she has several new and exciting projects brewing in which all her fans can gear up to see their favorite award-winning actress. If you’ve missed some good laughter from Dr. Obrecht and being intrigued by the character don’t worry, When it came to ‘General Hospital’, Kathleen said: “…And you never know when I may show up on ‘General Hospital’ again! Stay tuned is all I can say!”
