‘General Hospital’ News: James Patrick Stuart’s First Air Date Revealed, Is Theo A Bad Guy?

‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate that James Patrick Stuart joins the show in a new mysterious role, Theo, on July 8. The show runners have been pretty mum about the details surrounding his character but the latest issue of the Soaps in Depth Magazine gives an insight as to what Theo may be like.

Stuart is widely known as trouble maker Will Cortlandt, a role he played on ‘All My Children’ about 24 years ago from 1989 – 1992. It seems his new character on GH will be a similar baddie to that of Will Cortlandt.

“If anybody in the audience remembers Will, there’s definitely a wink there for you,” he shared with SID. “I can already tell I’m going to stir the pot” he further added. So could Theo be anything like Will? Is Theo a baddie?

Stuart disclosed in conversation with SID that his character will cross paths with some great characters. He listed names such as Ava Jerome [Maura West], Lulu [Emme Rylan], Laura [Genie Francis], Dante [Domonic Zamprogna] and Kevin [Jon Lindstrom].

So how is Theo connected to these people? How is he connected to Ava? Do they have some form of past together? What kind of scenes will he have with them? Is Theo going to show up while Laura and Kevin continue their search to discover what Helena’s [Constance Towers] clue leads to? According to him, this GH gig is open ended so he may be around for a while.

Stuart also noted that while he was selected by Executive Producer Frank Valentini he was a bit reluctant to take on the role. He shares that his friends and former daytime co-stars Ricky Paull Goldin [Ex-Gus, ‘Guiding Light’ & Ex-Jake, ‘All My Children’] and Michael E. Knight [Dr. Simon Neville, ‘The Young and the Restless’] encouraged him to do so. And so we will have him as Theo in the coming week.
