Of course, all storylines must come to an end eventually. The convicts are wrapping up their latest stints, but an important question remains. Which villainous return was the best? Before you decide, let’s take a look at the pros and cons of these shady characters.
Orpheus (George DelHoyo) was last seen in 1987, but he certainly had no problem picking up where he left off. He took charge of the terrible trio and he’s done a pretty good job of making his victims miserable. He’s definitely one of the most ruthless men that Salem has ever seen.
“Days of Our Lives” fans could argue that Orpheus’ pride is his downfall. He could’ve taken out all of his enemies by now if he had been willing to forgo the slow torture. Clyde (James Read) let his pride get in the way sometimes as well. However, sheer delusion was probably his biggest issue.
Clyde actually thought he could somehow give Thomas to his locked up son. Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) was never going to get that baby, but it was a fun plot anyway. Clyde’s antics often lightened things up, but he was still a force to be reckoned with.
After all, Clyde took down the mayor of Salem! Abe (James Reynolds) and Theo (Kyler Pettis) won’t be forgetting Clyde’s name anytime soon. “Days” watchers won’t forget it either. The Westons will be remembered by all for many years to come.
Finally, we have Xander (Paul Telfer). He hasn’t accomplished much other than scaring Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Theresa (Jen Lilley), but he’s a popular baddie anyway. Maybe Paul Telfer is just lovable even when he’s playing someone as conniving as Xander.
“Days of Our Lives” spoilers indicate that Salem will settle down slightly after this terrifying crew departs. It’s safe to say all three of the villains will be missed. We’ll give you updates as more news emerges on what’s next.
