'Days of Our Lives' News: Vincent Irizarry Shares His Thoughts on Deimos and Previews What’s Ahead for This Clever Villain“Days of Our Lives” viewers have seen several new faces around Salem over the last few months. One of those faces is Deimos Kiriakis (Vincent Irizarry), Victor’s (John Aniston) bitter brother who’s been on a sneaky revenge mission. Irizarry is rocking this role and fans are taking notice. Deimos has quickly become a villain we all love to hate.

In an interview with Soapcentral.com, Irizarry talked about his time at DOOL so far and previewed what’s to come. It’s clear that he’s enjoying being a part of the “Days” cast. “I’m really having the time of my life,” said Irizarry. “I love the character, I love the people I’m working with, and it’s all really wonderful.”

It sounds like it’s been a breeze for Irizarry to get in the Salem groove. That’s probably because it’s not his first rodeo when it comes to soaps. Irizarry has played notable roles like “Lujack” on “Guiding Light,” Scott Clark on “Santa Barbara” and David Hayward on “All My Children.”

However, Irizarry isn’t too worried about setting Deimos apart from the pack. “It really does start with the writing, so I’m not overly concerned with making sure the character is different from David or the others, because I think this character as a person is different, and I’ll bring to it what I see I can identify with or relate to emotionally,” noted Irizarry.

We just saw Deimos make a devious move when he forced Victor (John Aniston) to sign over everything he owns to get the poison antidote for Maggie (Suzanne Rogers). Will Deimos get even more ruthless? “The story is really going to start taking off from this point on, which is great,” said Irizarry. He added that he can’t wait to open each script he receives and he hopes viewers will like what’s in store.

“I’m very excited, and there is a lot of stuff that’s about to happen, it’s crazy. I’m looking forward to seeing how the audience responds to it,” Irizarry teased. DOOL rumors hint that huge surprises are coming up down the road. Deimos will begin to interact with additional characters and that could lead to shocking revelations. Stick with “Days of Our Lives” for updates on Deimos’ future in Salem.
