‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Meredith Scott Lynn Confirms Jen Lilley Leaving ‘DOOL’

Last week it was reported by Daytime Confidential that Jen Lilley opted to leave her role as Theresa Donovan on ‘Days of Our Lives’. When the shocking ‘DOOL‘ spoilers broke fans took to several message boards and social media platforms speculating it was just a rumor. However, Jen Lilley’s on screen BFF Meredith Scott Lyne [Anne Milbauer] confirmed it to be true with a Facebook post.

Lynn started off her sweet message, “Everyone at ‘Days Of Our Lives’ will miss the incomparable Jen Lilley, who filmed her final episode, for now i hope.”  You can see a screen shot of the entire Facebook post right here.

According to Lynn’s post, Lilley has already taped her final scenes. Lynn’s post has since been deleted and so far there has been no official word from NBC nor Lilley confirming her status. But considering one of Lilley’s recent tweets, which was basically a shout out showing love to her Days family, this could be true.

Theresa’s pending exit has left several viewers wondering how she will be written off. We for one hope it’s a happily ever after form of exit rather than Theresa being killed off. Just like Lynn shared in her post we hope this is just a temporary exit and Lilley someday will decide to return to Days.

What does Theresa’s exit mean for her bff Anne? – We hardly ever see Anne Milbauer without seeing Theresa. According to Lynn, her character will still be in Salem. She will be paying more attention to boys rather than weeping over Theresa. Does this give any indication as to how Theresa will exit? Will Anne finally get a lover? Will she find a new bff? Will Anne go back to causing trouble around the hospital?

So fans, we know that things are clearly indicating Lilley has truly decided to her leave her Days role. What are your thoughts on that? How would you like to see Theresa exit? Do you think the role should be recast?
