Nothing will bring their child back, but Mia feels that if she doesn’t fight for justice for Julian- his death will be in vain. Nothing would tear her up more than that cold reality. She said fighting for justice for his death and holding charity events like displaying his art has been instrumental in her healing. “Without being proactive in seeking justice for him- I would have lost the will to live a long time ago,” she said with tears in her eyes.

Kristoff told Closer Weekly that Julian was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia at the age of 18. His death was reported as a suicide, but he believes that if he was checked on like protocol requires his sweet son would be alive today. “He was not being monitored like he was supposed to be and they falsified the records. They wrote that they were checking in on him, but obviously it was a lie because surveillance showed they were not watching him. And even worse, they were still checking off every 15 minutes that he was awake and alert,  an hour and a half after he had already passed,” Mia St. John said.

Mia revealed they aren’t going to trial for money because they clearly do not need money. It is about justice not only for Julian but for other young adults just like him.
