‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers Wed, September 9: Jack Tricked By Adam, Cane & Michael Arrested, Neil Found In Restricted Area

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday September 9, 2015 reveals that Neil (Kristoff St. John) is realizing that things are going to far and he needs help taking care of Hilary. (Mishael Morgan) Neil goes to the hospital is caught coming out of a restricted area by Gwen (Nadine Nicole) and her sister Emma. (Alice Greczyn) Meanwhile, Adam (Justin Hartley) convinces Jack (Peter Bergman) to give him a job keeping and eye on The Paragon Project.

The Wednesday September 9, 2015 episode of “Y&R” opens with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Chelsea meeting at Crimson Lights – Victoria tells Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) she intends to be more hands off and trust Chelsea. Chelsea asks Victoria if she understands Victor (Eric Braeden) blackmailed her to stay in town.

Adam (Justin Hartley) comes to see Jack (Peter Bergman) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and tells them he wants his old job back. Adam wants to work at Jabot again. Billy walks in and says there is no way in Hell Gabriel (Adam) is coming back.

Cane (Daniel Goddard) calls Lily (Christel Khalil) and tells her about the witness that they found who saw Hilary after she fell and the witness said a man who looked like Devon (Bryton James) carried her away. Lily tells Cane Devon did not hurt Hilary.

Neil tells an unconscious Hilary that Devon is blaming himself for putting her there. Neil looks and her IV bag is empty, he freaks and tells her not to die. He changes the IV bag and tries to get it working.

Lily feels if there is a reward witnesses will be lining up around the block. Michael (Christian LeBlanc) takes the phone and tells Lily they have to entertain the thought that the witness is telling the truth. Lily is sceptical. Michael tells Lily she has to make Devon tell the truth. Michael thinks Devon might be holding something back. Lily finally agrees to try.

Lily goes to see Devon and Devon apologizes for making Cane go to the Islands. Lily tells Devon that the police are trying to punch holes in Devon’s alibi and asks him to go over it again with her.

Neil tells Hilary if he wanted her to die he would have left her in Virgin Gorda but he brought her back to GC. Neil knows he needs help taking care of Hilary and he knows where to get the help.

Chelsea tells Victoria that Victor stopped her from going to Paris and making a life. Victoria tells Chelsea that Connor is Victor last attachment to Adam.

Adam tells Billy (Burgess Jenkins) he was only offering his services and not asking Billy’s permission. Jack tells Billy he understands Gabriel in a way that no one else does. Ashley says Gabriel is power hungry and not trustful and Jack tells her that is the reason she should hire Gabriel.

Billy cannot believe that Jack wants to hire a lying weasel like Gabriel (Adam). Jack tells them who better to go against Victor. Adam reminds them if they help him they help Chelsea kick Victor to the curb. Billy keeps going on and Jack tells Billy he does not have a vote. Adam thanks Jack for supporting him and Ashley tells Jack he does not have a vote either.

Victoria recounts to Chelsea when she tried to marry Billy and Victor had her arrested before she could get married.

Lily tells Devon what the witness on the island saw and Devon says the witness is lying. Lily informs Devon the witness is credible. She lets Devon know Michael is afraid if the witness comes forward the police could believe him. Lily begs him to tell her the truth.

The witness, Jimmy comes into the bar where Cane and Michael are. Michael tells Jimmy they have to check out his evidence. Jimmy is mad they wont give him the reward money and tells them if his evidence is not good enough for them he can go to the police.

Meanwhile, Neil breaks into the hospital supply room and cannot get into the cabinet he wants. He leaves and sees Gwen and she introduces her sister who works at the hospital. Emma asks Neil what he is doing in the supply closet it is a restricted area.

Neil makes an excuse that he was looking for the pharmacy to get a prescription for sleeping pills and had to duck inside a room when he saw reporters. Gwen tells him she understands Hilary’s disappearance has to be rough on everyone.

Devon is upset because he feels Lily is willing to believe some strangers word over his. Devon tells Lily he has nothing to hide and he does not know how he can convince a jury he is innocent if his sister, her husband and his lawyer think he is guilty.

Victoria comes home and Billy is there. Billy tells her he is having a bad day and is sorry for just showing up. He tells Victoria Jack is cheerleading for Gabriel Bingham to get him a job at Jabot. Billy is confused why Jack cannot see through Gabriel.

Jack tells Ashley as Chairman of the Board he should be allowed to make some decisions. Ashley does not agree and tells Gabriel (Adam) he knows his way out. Jack walks Adam to the elevator and tells Adam he could not hire him because he gave Ashley the reigns of the company.

Adam asks Jack what if there was a Project that required someone who knew both companies to keep an eye on things. Adam suggests that Jack hire him to try and find who is behind the Paragon Project and keep an eye on both companies to keep the threat away from them. Jack is intrigued and says it would be like a trouble-shooter position. Adam says, “Jack who finds trouble better than I do?”

Jack comes in and tells Ashley he is not there to tell her how to run with Jabot. Ashley is pissed off. Jack tells Ashley that Gabriel could be an independent contractor to keep an eye on both companies because of the Paragon Project.

Ashley is not interested and tells Jack she thinks she knows who is behind the Paragon Project and she is going to investigate herself.

Adam comes into Crimson Lights and Chelsea asks him how he did with his meeting. Adam tells her he is optimistic about it. Adam wants to know how she did with Victoria and she tells her surprisingly well. Adam warns her when a Newman is nice expect a knife in your back.

Neil comes to see Devon and asks what is wrong. Devon tells Neil there is a new witness who saw a man carrying Hilary off who looked like him. FLASHBACK – Neil has a flashback of when he showed Hilary the video of Devon with a hooker. Back in present time, Neil tells Devon he forgives him for everything.

Lily calls Michael and leaves a message she tells him Devon is hurt.

Gwen and her sister come into the Dive Bar. Gwen tells Lily she is sorry that Hilary is missing. Lily rips her and Gwen tells Lily she was not implying Hilary was dead. Gwen tells Lily she saw Neil at the hospital getting meds. Lily is shocked and Gwen tells her not to worry because she is sure Neil checked with his doctor before taking meds.

Michael is telling Cane about all the crackpots who are coming out of the woodwork since they posted the reward. Cane ask Michael if he thinks Devon posted the reward to slow them down. The prosecutor Mr. Donovan comes in and tells Michael he has been holding out on him. Michael tells the prosecutor the witness was more interested in the reward than giving them information. The prosecutor asks if they kept quiet because the witness could prove Devon was guilty.

Billy asks Victoria how her meeting with Chelsea went. Victoria tells him mostly good but it got nostalgic. Victoria reminds Billy today would have been their 5th wedding anniversary. They both agree it feels good to be back together.

Jack tells Ashley she is being shortsighted but he will be bringing Gabriel on as a private contractor to keep an eye on The Paragon Project and the two companies. Ashley is not pleased.

Jack leaves and eavesdrops at Ashley’s door and hears her calling Joe Clark. (Scott Elrod) Ashley asks Joe to have dinner with her.

Billy and Victoria make out with a lot of sappy music playing.

Chelsea tells Adam she envies Billy and Victoria despite everything they have found their way back together. Jack walks into Crimson Lights and tells Adam he is hired. Jack tells Adam, “Do your job and try not to irritate my family. I already have your first assignment.”

Lily finally gets a hold of Cane and tells Cane that Neil went to a doctor for sleeping pills and she is upset because Neil is an alcoholic and she is afraid where it could lead. Cane tells her to speak to Neil because maybe she is worrying for nothing.

Cane tells Lily he and Michael are in jail.

Neil tells Devon that if anyone can clear his name it is Michael. Devon tells Neil if Hilary is dead he has nothing to live for. Neil tells him he does and Devon says, “Yes you are right it is too find out who is reasonable for Hilary’s disappearance and make them pay with their life.” Devon leaves and Neil looks concerned.
