‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers April 8: Fingerprints Prepared For Use, Dylan Lies For Sharon, Kevin and Billy Plot To Take Down Victor

‘The Young and the Restless‘ spoilers for April 8, 2015 show that as the double murder investigation widens more of our favourite Genoa City characters are drawn into its expanding web.  Sharon maybe suspect number one but Dylan is determined to prove her innocence and even if he can’t he is willing to lie to provide an alibi.  Everybody’s favourite scoundrel becomes the target of a join effort by Kevin and Billy while the police chief himself casts suspicion upon Victor.  The Moustache is to blame for Ashley’s heartbroken when Jack questions her paternity secret.

The April 8 episode of Y&R opens with Paul [Doug Davidson] calling Dylan [Steve Burton] and he wants Dylan to head to the station ASAP. Dylan tells him he needs to finish something first. Paul tells Dylan he just finished up with the co-conspirators that have been covering up Austin’s murder. Paul demands that Dylan get to the police station NOW and not make things worse on himself or for Sharon!

Dylan has the tire iron and looks at it concerned.

Noah [Robert Adamson] thanks Sharon [Sharon Case] for letting him stay and she tells Noah he can stay for as long as he wants with her or with Nick. [Joshua Morrow] They profess their love for Noah. Nick tells them he has to leave to check up on Faith. Sharon tells Noah how sorry she is. Noah says it is killing him to do this right now but… there has been a lot of talk and conjecture he needs to know, “Mom, please tell me you had nothing to do with Courtney’s death?” Sharon gasps….

Jack [Peter Bergman] has called Billy, [Burgess Jenkins] Phyllis and Ashley [Eileen Davidson] to talk. Jack tells the group he does not think the hack is what they have to focus on and he is certain Victor is up to something much bigger.

Abby [Melissa Ordway] and Stitch [Sean Carrigan] come into the Athletic Club they see Victoria [Amelia Heinle] and Victor [Eric Braeden] Abby wants to tell them about Courtney [Kelli Goss] being dead. Stitch reminds her that she cannot tell any details. Stich and Abby come over to Victor and Victoria’s table to say Hi. Stitch tells Victoria he put off getting Kelly’s Ashes and Victor wants to know what happened.

Dylan comes home and Avery [Jessica Collins] asks if he was with Sharon. Dylan tells Avery he is headed to the police station and Avery wants to know what is happening if there is something wrong with Sharon. Dylan asks Avery if he would really help Sharon since she does not like her. Avery tells Dylan he has to hire her so she cannot go to the police with what he is going to show her. Dylan gives her $1 and then shows Avery the tire iron and tells her it is a possible murder weapon.

Over with Jack he thinks Victor has a master plan. Billy thinks there has to be some way to prove Victor hacked them. Phyllis comments that maybe Victor was not looking for a business secret when he hacked but a personal one. They all agree that most of their dirty laundry has been aired. Billy says he is not sure that is totally true there could be more. Jack is thinking.

The phone rings it is Sharon calling Phyllis [Gina Tognoni] – Phyllis leaves the room to take the call. Ashley asks Jack what is going on. Jack says they are not entirely right about there not being any Abbott Family secrets. Ashley asks if he is hiding something but Jack says she is. Ashley is confused and wants to know what Abbott secret she is hiding. Jack responds, “The one about you not truly being an Abbott.” Ashley looks surprised

Abby and Stitch have told Victor and Victoria about Courtney’s murder and Victor is going to call Noah and leaves. Victoria asks to speak to Stitch in private. Victoria thanks Stitch for being a bodyguard.

Kevin [Greg Rikaart] comes in to see Kevin and Paul tells him he is mad as hell at him. Paul says he should fire him but they need him too much right now. Paul asks Kevin to work his magic because he is trying to keep the lid on a double murder. Paul tells Kevin to find out what caused Courtney to be murdered.

Sharon is upset Noah asks her if she murdered Courtney. Noah tells her she has not been herself and everyone thinks she is guilty. Noah tells Sharon Kevin decrypted her interview with Austin and they know what she said. Noah tells Sharon whoever killed Austin killed Courtney too. Sharon insists she did not kill anyone. Noah tells Sharon she burned down the ranch house and lied about Summer’s father… Noah is upset.. Nick walks in and tells Noah it is enough.

Nick tells Noah he cannot take things out on Sharon. Noah tells Nick he is as bad as Sharon. Noah makes a sarcastic remark, “That is the Newman family policy commit a crime and cover it up.” Nick is confused. Noah then tells Nick that Sharon spilled her guts to Austin and told how Nick ruined a girl’s life.

Avery is confused what Sharon’s motive could be to kill Austin. Dylan thinks Sharon is being framed. Dylan asks Avery to get the tire iron tested for blood and Fingerprints and that is the way to prove if Sharon is innocent. Dylan begs her to help him. Avery wants to know why anyone would think Sharon committed murder twice.

Ashley asks Jack why her paternity would come up – Ashley insists she is an Abbott. Jack says not one cares he agrees Ashley is an Abbott in almost everyway except the way Victor can exploit. Ashley does not see how Victor could use the information. Jack says it could be a public relations nightmare he could say they are all phony he could try to cause infighting. Abby, Abby would be rocked by this feeling he had been lied too all her life. Ashley cannot believe that Victor could do it Ashley feels he has too much respect for her. Ashley cannot believe he would hurt her this way. Jack warns her not to take Victor for granted.

Victor calls someone and says, “Did it work out with the fingerprints as we discussed? Good!” and hangs up.

Next we see a desk and an envelope with the paper with the fingerprints – and on the desk there is a tray with casts of fingerprints that have been made.  The question is whose fingerprints are they and what is Victor going to do with them?

Kevin is trying to get the police station computer fixed and Billy shows up – if he helps him he would pay him a great chunk of money. Kevin tells him that Paul is keeping close tabs on him. Kevin asks what could be more important than fixing the police files and Billy responds, “Taking down Victor Newman!”

Stitch asks Victoria how she is and she says it is strange being so out of touch with him. She knows he is busy taking care of Abby.

Nick is shocked and tells Sharon they are going to talk later. Nick tells Noah he deeply regrets what happened in high school but he did not cover up. Nick asks if Noah thinks Sharon has something to do with Courtney’s desk. Noah gets upset and apologizes to Sharon he does not really think she did it. Nick asks Noah how he could ever think Sharon hurt Courtney. Noah tells Nick that Austin was murdered and because Sharon gave the interview people say that gives her a motive.

Dylan tells Avery in the interview Sharon gave to Austin she told a secret from Nick’s past. Dylan also tells Avery that Sharon used the info to get more time with Faith. Dylan tells Avery he does not think Sharon did it. Someone knocks on the door, Dylan opens the door it is Paul.

FLASHBACK – Ashley is remembering back to talking to Victor about her father she did not know who was golf pro.

Jack comes over to Ashley and ask what she is thinking Ashley is trying to recover from the comment she was almost an Abbott. Jack tells Ashley she is his family and he will protect her.

Phyllis comes in and tells Jack and Phyllis Summer told her Courtney is dead. Jack thinks Summer must be inconsolable.

Paul comes in and Avery offers him a drink. Paul wants to spend some alone time with Dylan but Avery says it cannot happen she is Dylan’s lawyer. Paul hates what is happening and wonders why Dylan did not come to him with the truth. They are family. Paul asks him why? Dylan says he was being cautious because the killer said if they went to the police he would hurt more people. Paul says he is giving Dylan good advice to BACK OFF! Dylan says he cannot he wants to get the guy as much as Paul. Paul asks Dylan if he has made his mind up that it is a HE and not a She. Dylan tells him if he suspects Sharon she has an alibi and the alibi is Dylan.

Sharon tells Noah he has to believe her she did not kill Austin and Courtney. Nick says he cannot possibly believe Sharon hurt the women he loved. Noah agrees he is just hurt and angry and cannot imagine who would do this to Courtney.

Ashley shows up at Abby’s hotel room to find out if she is okay. Stitch tells Ashley Abby was the one who found Courtney’s body.

Dylan tells Paul again he was with Sharon the night Austin was killed and when Courtney was killed. Paul says he has to look into his alibi closer. Paul leaves. Dylan thanks Avery and Avery wants to know why Dylan lied. Avery tells Dylan he has committed a crime lying to the police. Avery asks Dylan if Sharon is worth it and Dylan asks why he is the only one in town who thinks Sharon is innocent. Avery agrees to get the tire iron tested.

Nick tells Sharon that Noah is asleep. Sharon tells Nick it means a lot he defended her. Nick tells Sharon the last thing Noah needs to know was that she was blackmailing him. Sharon tells Nick he tried to get the interview back and she hoped when Austin died the interview would die with him. Nick is not happy.

Ashley is upset Abby found Courtney’s body. Abby gets upset and runs out of the hotel room. Victoria goes after her. Ashley suspects that Stitch really cares about Abby.

Kevin tells Billy he is intrigued by the possibility of taking down Victor Newman. Kevin tells Billy the police computers were hacked and Billy says coincidence the Jabot computers were hacked too. Kevin says, “All roads seem to lead to Victor Newman.”

Paul comes into the Athletic Club and Victor is there and asks Paul what is being done to find Courtney’s killer and he hopes the investigation does not become a circus with the Newman Family in the center of it and he also hopes Paul wont turn this against the Newman’s to get even with what happened to Christine.

Victoria comes back and tells Ashley that Abby is sorry she got emotional and she wants to see Ashley – Ashley leaves. Victoria offers to stay and spend sometime with Stitch and Stitch tells her she does not have to.

Billy tells Kevin that he does not see any reason why Victor would hack the police computers. Kevin says he might know a reason. Kevin agrees to look into the Jabot hack. Kevin asks where he is going and Billy says to look into a lead on his own. Kevin tells him to be careful.

Jack asks Phyllis why she wants to call off the wedding. Phyllis says she wants to postpone the wedding for Summer and she does not want Jack to be distracted at their wedding about Victor and what he is doing. Jack tells her Victor won’t do anything without him being there he won’t want to fire the first volley without his main target there.

Paul tells Victor he resents his implication that the case is being mishandled. Paul tells him Courtney is one of his own and he will do his best to find the killer and does not need threats especially from someone who maybe a suspect. Victor says, “What does that mean?” and Paul responds, “Justice will be served no matter who is responsible.” And Victor says I certainly hope so!

Paul leaves and Nick comes in Victor asks how Noah is and Nick says not well. Victor tells Nick he had the strangest conversation with Paul Williams saying some things as if I was implicated in this whole thing and as if I had motive.

Dylan comes to Sharon’s house and tells her he found the object that got thrown out of the car the night Austin was murdered. Dylan tells her it was a tire iron.  Sharon hugs him and tells him it was probably the murder weapon. Dylan tells Sharon that Avery is testing it. Sharon is thrilled but Dylan says they have something else to worry about the killer flashed his lights in Sharon’s eyes and he might have seen Sharon and that means she is the only witness to the murder and that puts her in a lot of danger.

Meanwhile, someone is looking in the window watching Dylan and Sharon.

So Y&R fans do you believe Sharon is innocent.  Considering someone was watching Sharon and Dylan through the window it seems to prove the killer is still out there.  What you think Victor made the fingerprint cast for?  Do you think they are Jack’s fingerprints?
