‘The Young and the Restless’ Rumors: Colin Atkinson Trying To Take Victor Down – The Mastermind Behind The Paragon Project?

Jack (Peter Bergman) is determined to find out who is behind the Paragon project, according to the promo video for Aug. 13 episode. He thinks he has it figured out and believes that Adam AKA Gabriel Bingham (Justin Hartley) could be behind the project. He will ask Adam/Gabriel how long he has been planning the Paragon project. Is it possible that someone else is behind the project? Could Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) or Tucker (Stephen Nichols) be the ones behind the mysterious project?
The Paragon project has been the center of the show for a few weeks now. Jack and Phyllis are desperate to find out who is behind the project. Victor is also trying to put the pieces together to find out who is trying to bring both Jabot and New Enterprises down. The writers want the fans to believe that Adam/Gabriel is likely behind the takeover. It is true that Adam wants his father to pay for not being in his corner, but he wouldn’t try to hurt Jack in the process. Fans are not buying it and believe that it is likely Colin Atkinson or possible Tucker behind it all.
One possibility is that Colin is using the blackmail money from Devon to fund the Paragon project. Colin has proven over and over that he cannot be trusted. Colin will do anything he has to make money, even if it means upsetting his own son and wife, Jill (Jess Walton). Colin seems like the perfect person to blame the Paragon mess on but did he do it?
The writers have not even clarified what the project is exactly. They suggested it was something that would bring down Victor and Jack. It was said on yesterday’s show that the project was to bring Victor down and get rid of Jack, once and for all. The purpose was to allow Marco take over Jack’s life with Phyllis. So if that is true, is it possible that Colin and Marco are in cahoots?
Many fans believe the writers made up this Paragon project as a way to justify all the evil things Victor has done this year. It would be a way for him to explain why he allowed Marco to impersonate Jack. He allowed Marco to use Kelly until it drove her crazy. He allowed Marco to lie to Jack’s family and basically rape Phyllis over and over and put Summer in danger in the process. Fans believe that this is an unacceptable way to wrap the Marco storyline up.

It is pretty sad that GH’S Helena Cassidine has better reason and explanations for her actions than the writers can think up for Victor to spew. Victor is becoming irreedeemable, the fact they are turning Victoria the same way is disgusting and they are leaving Jack the same old putz he has always been..lead around by the nose instead of just calling Victor out and letting the dust settle where it will…i ff most of the show now..all of it somedays. Maybe they can grab Ron Carlivati now that GH dumped him!
