‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) POLL: Who Will Take The Fall For The Paragon Project – Jack or Victor?

“Young and the Restless” spoilers revealed last week that Ian Ward (Ray Wise) and Adam (Justin Hartley) was responsible for the Paragon project. It seems highly unlikely that Ian or Adam will take the fall for the mess the Paragon will unleash. Fans should brace themselves because it appears either Jack (Peter Bergman) or Victor (Eric Braeden) will take the fall for the business misadventure.
Since fans know that Victor never takes the fall for anything he does, it is safe to assume that Jack will take the fall. Jack knew deep down, that Victor couldn’t be trusted, prompting him to hire Adam as an insurance policy. He knew Adam would find dirt of Victor and would be somewhat honest with him about what his father (Victor) was planning. Victor has been planning for months away to get rid of Jack for good. At the moment, Jack’s sister, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) is suspecting that Jack could have something to do with the project.
Right away, Adam worked his magic with Kevin (Greg Rikaart). He could gain his trust, and the duo decided to work together. It seems they have something in common- they both genuinely mistrust both Jack and Victor. Kevin told him, that the reason he agreed to help find out who was behind the Paragon project was because he wanted to protect everyone who works for both Jabot and Newman.
For Adam, spying on Victor is his perfect cover. No one will suspect that he COULD be responsible for the business deal. It also helps keep him in the loop with Jack. He will be notified how much information both Jack and Victor know about those who are behind the shady business deal.
Is it possible that Paul (Doug Davidson) asked Kevin to work with Victor, so he could spy on him? When you think about it, it makes perfect sense. Kevin would have access to the Newman computers, and Victor would reveal key information to him in confidence. After all, Kevin was contracted by him to find the threat, so he wouldn’t double cross him, would he?
Kevin stated twice in his conversation with Adam that he was helping Victor ONLY to protect the citizens of Genoa City from the vendetta against Jack. He said if it was just Jack and Victor, he wouldn’t get involved because they won’t be happy until they destroy each other. So, “Y&R” fans, do you think Paul asked Kevin to spy on Victor Newman? I think the story line is horrible. Enough of these evil people plotting against Victor. Jack is so gullible, he is believing everything that Gabriel/Adam tells him. His hatred for Victor is just clouding his brain from thinking.

I ventured to guess months ago that TPTB don’t even know what the Paragon Project is. They want us to believe that it’s this scary presence designed to bring down Victor, which it may be, but I’m still baffled about what it is and why it was a good enough excuse for Victor to replace Jack with a dangerous criminal and commission the raping of Phyllis (repeated raping BTW) which has gone practically unacknowledged. This show is a mess.
