“The Young and the Restless” has had an eventful year in 2015. Under the new writing regime, there has been many character roll out. Soap Opera Spy wants your opinion and tells us who is the best and worst character in 2014-2015.
Marco Annicelli
Marco Annicelli [Peter Bergman] took the super villain status and ran with it. He had the attitude that he didn’t care who he hurt as long as his needs were met. He wanted Jack’s [Peter Bergman] life—including his wife and lifestyle and made no apology for his crude behavior. Jack’s family was shocked to learn that Victor Newman [Eric Braeden] brought this criminal in their lives.
Joe Clark
When Joe Clark [Scott Elrod] came to Genoa City in late 2014, there were so many promises of drama – and in 2015 his character really took ff and began causing trouble. He came into town with a huge business deal which was revealed in time that Victor was his client. After the business district business, the deal went south, Joe tried to romance his ex-wife, Avery [Jessica Collins]. Avery eventually left her fiancée, Dylan [Steve Burton] for Joe Clark. Jessica Collins left the show after she had creative differences with the writers and TPTB.
Marisa Sierras
Marisa [Sofia Pernas] is a new character this year. She debuted as part of the Marco Annicelli storyline, portraying one of Marco’s former lovers. She grounded herself in Genoa City, building a life with the golden boy, Noah Newman [Robert Adamson]. This year looks to be full of drama with her recent partnership with estranged husband, Luca Santori [Miles Gaston Villanueva].
Sage Warner- Sullivan
Sage [Kelly Sullivan] came to Genoa City as Gabriel Bingham’s [Justin Hartley] wife and co-conspirator. When it was revealed that Gabriel was really Adam Newman, many fans felt that Sage never was punished for her role in the façade. Sage is married to Nick Newman [Joshua Morrow] currently; however, the once happy couple is facing marital trouble due to the loss of their newborn son, Christian.
Dr. Sandy Anderson
Dr. Anderson [Elizabeth Bogush] appeared as Sharon’s [Sharon Case] caring shrink that only wanted to help her. As time went on it became clear that the doctor was shady and had a hidden agenda. As time went on, the scheming doctor kidnapped Christian and had the doctor/nurses tell Sage and Nick their baby had died. A few weeks later, Christian popped up and was given to Sharon. She was told her delivered her child, and Sharon was so medicated on psychiatric medications that she didn’t question it.
Judge Elise Moxley
Judge Moxley [Jensen Buchanan] debuted with a bang; she came on the canvas with a HUGE secret—she had a forbidden affair with the Mustache. Victor threatened to tell all if she didn’t free his son Adam from prison. Typical Victor, he got his way and the judge freed Adam.
Emma Randall
Emma [Alice Greczyn] debuted on “Y&R” as a nurse at Gena City Memorial Hospital. She gave her sister Gwen [Nadine Nicole] information that led to Neil [Kristoff St. John] hiring the recently fired Dr. Neville [Michael E Knight] to work his ‘magic’ to bring Hilary [Mishael Morgan] out of her coma.
Dr. Neville
Dr. Neville arrived in Genoa City to help Neil bring Hilary out of her coma. Neil kidnapped her and because she fell plunging into a river after they had an argument. He felt guilty and needed Dr. Neville expertise to bring her back. Dr. Neville treatment was a success, and Hilary came out of her coma—only thing is she no longer loves Devon [Bryton James].
Gwen Randall
Gwen showed up on canvas when Hilary hired her to impersonate Devon’s girlfriend in 2014. The Jabot executive showed promising chemistry with Neil Winters and returned to rekindle her romance with him. She became love struck with him, and hired Dr. Neville to help Neil with Hilary.
Luca Santori
Luca [Miles Gaston Villanueva] arrived in 2015 after learning his estranged wife, Marisa was in town. He brought back terrible memories for Marisa and blackmailed her into living with him with the promise of telling him where her daughter is living. The last few weeks, the pair has bonded—will they end up together?

I can’t understand why so many people like Sage, I can’t stand her. I liked Gwen, too bad they have written her like they have.
