'The Bold and the Beautiful' Interview: Jacob Young Talks His Childhood Nickname, Meeting Paul Newman and More“The Bold and the Beautiful” fan favorite, Jacob Young [Rick Spencer] sat down with Soap Opera Digest to do a short interview in the November 30 edition. He revealed what crime, he’d commit if he never got caught, if he has felt star struck, his nickname as a child, and the one item that is always in his refrigerator. He came across as a great guy who is open with his fans.

The first question he was asked was what crime he would commit if there was no way possible for him to be arrested and convicted of the crime. Jacob replied, “I think we all wonder if we could rob a bank. When I hear about people who had robbed a string of banks, I always wonder how they got away with it.”

Jacob Young revealed whether he has ever felt starstruck on the set, “Sure, I’ve met a ton of people I’ve felt that way about. I got to meet Paul Newman a long time ago. He’s always been one of my favorites. In fact, that’s why [son] Luke was named Luke, named after Cool Hand Luke. I was beside myself meeting and speaking to Paul.”

Jacob revealed that he had a nickname, ‘The Blonde Bomber’ which he has now days could be taken the wrong way. He explained,” When I was a kid, people used to call me ‘Jake the Snake.” My brother and I were called ‘The Blonde Bombers.’ It was because our hair was so white when we were little. My uncle trademarked that phrase for us.”

Young revealed the one thing he always has in his refrigerator is tart cherry juice. He explained, “It’s good for heart health. Beyond that, I’m addicted to it.” The last question they asked him was if he had any reoccurring dream that he remembers when waking up. He replied, “I have dreams where I’m falling. That freaks me out!
