'General Hospital' Spoilers Thursday, July 23: Ghosts Are Headed To Port Charles - Luke Gets 3 Important Visitors

As if resurrected kids and back from dead gangsters weren’t enough, ghosts are coming to Port Charles! Find out more with these ‘General Hospital’ spoilers for Thursday’s episode on July 23.

Yep, you heard right – ghosts! GH writers have tapped old plot lines before but, in this case, they’re going all the way back to Charles Dickens. Luke Spencer [Anthony Geary] is not happy with his life. He feels like a big terrible loser, bad dad, and definitely a bad fiance. Tracy Quartermaine [Jane Elliot] just dumped him and said they were done for good. Plus Lucky Spencer [Jonathan Jackson] left town too and Luke and Laura Spencer [Genie Francis] are done for sure.

This leaves Luke feeling very melancholy as he goes over to give the old Spencer place one last look before Michael Quartermaine [Chad Duell] has it torn down to make way for the new AJ Quartermaine Clinic. Luke isn’t sad to see it go, but it almost seems like he’s contemplating killing himself so that he goes away with the house that saw so much tragedy with the murder of his parents. And that’s where the ghosts come in – as Luke is contemplating whether he should end it all.

‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal that Luke will get three spectral visitors, in the style of Dicken’s Scrooge who sees the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. Luke’s visitors will be his three dead family members – the mom and dad he killed plus his recently deceased big sister. No doubt Tim Spencer [also played by Geary] won’t have anything nice to say, but his mom Lena Spencer [Laura Wright] will forgive him for her accidental death – as will sis Pat Spencer [Dee Wallace].

Another Spencer will also struggle Thursday when Lulu Spencer [Emme Rylan] sits down to catch up with Maxie Jones [Kirsten Storms] who is back from a visit with her baby in Portland. Lulu tells her about the kidnapping and the kiss. Lulu tells Maxie she thinks she herself is to blame for Dante Falconeri [Dominic Zamprogna] macking on Valerie Spencer [Brytni Sarpi]. Maxie takes Lulu to task for taking ownership of Dante and Valerie’s mistake.

In fact, Maxie tells Lulu that she thinks Valerie specifically went after Dante because she has the hots for him and may get Lulu all riled up again. Meanwhile Valerie has a sit down with Bobbie Spencer [Jaclyn Zeman] who says she wants to talk about her cousin. Is Bobbie talking about Lulu or maybe Lucky? Valerie is worried, but maybe Bobbie is just going to fill her in on who little Jake Spencer [James Nigbor] is and that he’s back from the dead.

Valerie isn’t the only person feeling self-conscious – Dante is too. He feels guilty for bedding Valerie when he thought Lulu cheated, is scared Lulu will find out, and may feel bad for having residual feelings for Valerie. Dante unburdens himself to Nathan West [Ryan Paevey] who will then struggle to keep the secret once Maxie comes home with a different tale than he was told. When Maxie shares her suspicions that she thinks it was more, can Nathan keep a straight face?

Tracy and Luke have fallen apart, and Dante and Lulu may be on the rocks. But Michael and Sabrina Santiago [Teresa Castillo] are heating things up with a sexy afternoon at the Quartermaine boathouse for a water romp. Also crumbling are Lucas Jones [Ryan Carnes] and Brad Cooper [Parry Shen]. Brad confessed his secret to Felix DuBois [Marc Samuel] but we didn’t get to hear it (of course). Brad says he needs to call of the wedding, but Lucas won’t let him go without answers.

Actually the ghosts are ok compared to the Jake being alive story. It should have happened earlier though, as Tony Geary said, and wrapped up the story for him.
